I know that God is unlimited in his power and this issue of aliens which is only intensifying over the past few decades is a cause for concern.

If you have divine insight on this issue, it would help many of us who are striving to avoid deception in these times.

As we have been warned in scripture that there will be a great deception leading to a falling away of many of the elect, I continue to wonder whether or not the "alien" issue is part of that deception.

Since we are made in the image and likeness of our Creator, I can't imagine a reptilian or insect like creature likewise being in the image and likeness of the same Creator.

I sense that sooner or later we are going to have an international "outing" of the existence of aliens and I would like to know how one might approach advising family and friends in such an event. I don't want to have any of them lose their faith over such a revelation.

Any insight and direction is appreciated.  You and your mission are in my daily prayers.

TF

A.  First we have to remember that we were made in the spiritual image of our Creator - not the physical image. Something which may be used to exploit the alien angle.

We have addressed the alien issue in several of our documents/postings. i.e.

A Psychiatric Case Study on Religious Fanaticism - If aliens, not God, created (cloned) humans, who created those aliens?

Points To Ponder About - November - Do you wonder if there are really interplanetary aliens and how would it impact on our notion of Creation and Jesus as our Savior?

Planet "X" or Whatever - The Real Issue is the Truth About the... "Zecharia Sitchin, utilizes his dubious credentials and know-how to weave UFO's into the Holy Scriptures; in essence, replacing God with Space Aliens." Plus "This UFO-Divinity "merger" must be stopped and exposed for what it is - an attack on the Monotheistic Faith."

News Commentaries by The M+G+R Foundation - July August 2004 - "This strange, but not necessarily all wrong article, goes on to give credit to UFO travelers for such experiments." Plus "Rices and the likes want to believe as they do, we respect their beliefs just as we respect the beliefs of UFO enthusiasts, Hare Krishna followers"

The M+G+R Foundation Public Forum - December 2006 - " "I haven't seen anything on the MGR website dealing with the ufo and ... Given the potential to use the UFO to discredit God's role in our creation and ..." Your prayers are greatly appreciated.

I am a member of the St. Vincent De Paul society, working to visit needy families we see, we see the situation at ground level, it is not good but we do what  we can to help.

What do we do when we come across a family with a lazy husband (mostly partners)!!!

St Paul says, If they wont work don't feed them.

Jesus says we have to good stewards.

Feed the widows and the orphans

We also have to be thrifty with our money

Our conference argue about this every meeting

But we never arrive at an answer

Your remarks would be welcome

A servant of God just like yourself

AQ

A. Obviously, the problem is the laziness of the father, therefore, that is the problem that needs to be tackled head on.

While seeing to the immediate needs of the family, the focus must be on curing the father.

First a qualified (in psycho counseling) member of your team should try to determine if there is a real psychological problem behind the laziness. For example - Fear of failure - any failure - is always used by satan to bring human initiative to a standstill; and then, try to correct it

Secondly, but just as important and simultaneously, do exactly what that same Jesus you quote above taught us: But I say to you, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you. [Matthew 5:44]

In a case of this nature, "the enemy" is the lazy husband. When we worked with families of alcoholics - "the enemy" was the alcoholic. etc., etc.

Also, we cannot confuse "love" with letting people "get away with murder". Love can and should be tender, but it must also be tough when the situation requires it.

While doing the above and money is limited and must be allocated and distributed amongst several "human projects" somehow - just do as a good businessman would do: Allocate it wherever the "Return on the Investment" is the highest - so long as it is in accordance to the Will of God.

This is not theory.  m de P learned that from Jesus, has practiced it and, of course, has seen it work!

Regarding the recently reported error at the US Mint whereby the words In God We Trust were omitted from certain coins - besides the obvious message from God, I would say it is also setting the record straight.  That is, The US is not one nation under God, and we do not trust in God.

I appreciate the many defenses you have made for the US, all of which have been honest and fair.  However, I am tired of hearing that this is the best system in the world, and therefore, above reproach.

As a child (a second generation immigrant), I thought that the US embodied the characteristics of decency, somehow throwing off the mistakes, transgressions, and depravities of the "Old World."

In fact, the more one learns about the genocide of Native Americans, the despicable treatment of Blacks, especially after the Emancipation and the end of the Civil War, the denigration of women which continues today, and most recently, the lust for money and more money at the cost of the mental and physical health of workers and the defenseless, the US flew over the top.

Perhaps the US was an experiment by God to see if in a new land, people could get it right.  In many ways this experiment was similar to the anointing of a few disciplines to promote the Good News of Jesus.  The Good News has been obliterated.

I agree that God has blessed the US in many ways; I would argue that we did not deserve many of these blessings.  This is not to say that this nation did not have God fearing good people.  Alas, I believe most of them have died and gone to Heaven, or they have lost the faith.  Let us pray that the few who are left can confirm God's confidence in us to do the right thing.

The motto on our money should be akin to "Deutschland uber Alles," that is Germany above all else.  The US should proudly state on its currency and coinage, Wealth and Power is our God.  It surely would be the first true and honest statement from the US for sometime.

Peace

RC

A.  Your points are well taken, however....

As you probably know, we addressed the God and America issue right after the tragedy of September 11, wherein we have pointed out that America needs to Bless God since God has Blessed America abundantly and the Blessings have not always been used wisely. (1)

Although miguel de Portugal is not a historian, during his formative years he had to work his way through twelve semesters of history, a dormant education which now God is causing him polish to a bright sheen through many fine documentaries and books. In addition, before his conversion, and then after, he has traveled extensively, lived amongst different cultures and closely interacted with others from countries he has never visited. Granted, before his conversion there were many air conditioned bus tours and Hyatt Regency look-alikes which he called home in countries spanning from Singapore to Poland and points in-between - but that was just "a drop in the bucket" compared with what he experienced afterwards.

Given the above he will restate that: Even though the United States of America is far from perfect, it has to be the best operating system of any First World nation. What the Spaniards and Portuguese did during their colonization of the New World and other parts of the world - in quantity and quality - make whatever the American Colonizers inflicted upon the Native Americans look like Freshman hazing.

Not to mention what other European nations did as colonizers of Africa and what Europeans did to each other in the last 400 years under the approving eyes of the Vatican - so long they "were cut in" (2) when the spoils were distributed.

Even as recently as the 20th Century - you have countries like Spain wherein you find a man like Dictator Franco [supported by the Roman Catholic Church, especially by Escriva (3)] whom, to win the Spanish civil war, enlisted Muslims from Morocco so that they "would have their way" with his own people - to the point of systematic castration. A man who allowed Hitler to use the Spanish town of Guernica so that the Nazi nascent Air Force practiced bombing , etc., etc. - how can anyone comparatively demonize the United States.

Still in the 21st Century - in Portugal and Spain - if you do not have "a connection" you will not get very far in any profession - other than in waiting tables or shop keeping. This is hardly the case in the US where to the brains from many European nations are escaping to further their careers and research due to lack of viable opportunities in their countries.

If we go into the bureaucratic labyrinths - In many countries their citizens can make a career of just bureaucratic paper shuffling, whereas, in the US, if you lose your passport while traveling, you will have one issued by your local Embassy within 24 hour, if that much!

We are aware of the great injustices that you have suffered and, without doubt, there have been, and continue to exist, many injustices, abuses, discriminations, etc. in the US; i.e. the shameful way the US government is treating the wounded members of the armed forces forced to fight a no-win political war; however, we are talking on a comparative basis and not on absolute terms.

Knowing, through the Grace of God, far more about the darkness that lurks in "the government within the government" than most, we will still say, and defend the position that, although the United States of America is far from perfect, it has to be the best operating system of any First World nation. We are not blind to the fact that  the US is not the only one that has a parallel government lurking in their own darkness - there are many Cheneys, Chertoffs,  etc. floating around the governments of the "Illustrious" G-8. We are not blind to the reality that it is not "In God We Trust" but "In Profit We Trust". We are just making a comparative evaluation.

From  Initials Withheld @  Somewhere in the World - Published on June 21st, 2007

Last Sunday I attended a service at [name withheld] in [location withheld]. It is an Anglican church that we have attended 3 or 4 times. Each time, it has been a different type of service.

In between we have become well acquainted with the Arch Deacon, [name withheld]. We have met him informally on a number of occasions over a coffee.

I am troubled by a few things:

- I don't know why, but I feel it is not 'right'? 'correct' that women ministers lead the services, and there are more women clergy than men it seems. I DON'T KNOW WHY I feel this way - it doesn't seem to make sense and seems very politically incorrect. However, the feeling lingers.

- Transubstantiation does not occur/is not genuine in their services. Simple as that.

- The following is an excerpt of an email I have sent to the Arch Deacon tonight. This event continues to trouble me greatly. Again I don't know why - it just isn't 'right'.

At the call for youth to attend 'Y Time', the presiding minister made a general call for one of the children to take up a Taiha and lead the other children to the group.

I question, what place a taiha has in church - it is quite simply a weapon, designed specifically to kill. I was quite surprised to see one in a church in
the first place, then more surprised to see it proudly wielded by a child, leading a group of other children into what I suppose (but am not sure of what 'Y Time' is about at this stage) is learning/teaching from the Bible.

A Taiha (which was used during the services by children) is an ancient Maori hand held spear. I suspect there is some politically correct idea that it represents some 'spirituality' in Maoridom and one of the women ministers that day was Maori - she was the one who called the child up.

I wrote to the Arch Deacon with my concerns and I suspect I am at risk of upsetting this man, who seems quite 'comfortable' with his little (and shrinking) Parish.

However, something is amiss here.

Initials and country withheld

A.  Indeed something "is amiss here" and it is not you!

We have addressed the issue of women in the Priesthood already thus:

Women in the Priesthood (1)

The maternity of men? Are men less important than women because they cannot be mothers?  Of course not! God created us in His image, male and female, and the fact that some are male and others female is for a reason.

Men and women are truly different and have different functions. Just like a man cannot be a mother, a woman was not intended to be for the priesthood. It is not a matter of better or worse; superior or inferior... although, when "all is said and done" and summing it up: The One who is the highest honor of our race is Mary (2) - a woman!

When we speak of the "motherhood" in a woman - we should not limit ourselves to the fact that they are biologically capable of being a mother by nurturing a fertilized ovum through birth. Women, blessedly, have a unique number of physical, psychological and spiritual characteristics which are only inherent to a female and which make them fully capable of being "a mother". The same applies with a male and the priesthood.

On the other hand, women as effective Church leaders is a completely different matter, and we are not talking about nuns cleaning toilets in the Apostolic Palace. We are talking  about women being appointed Cardinals.

The key functions of Cardinals are the Administration of the Church and the election of the Pope. Therefore, the Roman Catholic Church could certainly have women at the highest possible non priestly, yet extremely influential, position in the Church. They could not become Pope but they could certainly vote in a Conclave to select a priest to be invested as Pope. If Mary gave birth to Jesus, what would be wrong with a few female Cardinals joining with male Cardinals in "giving birth" to the man who is considered by the Roman Catholic Church to be the Representative of Jesus on Earth? (3)

We understand that the "Cardinal concept" evolved from the custom that until late in the Middle Ages the title of cardinal was given to prominent priests of important churches. Therefore it is a man made tradition and not a Divine Requirement.  Jesus taught us through Matthew 15:3, 15:6 and Mark 7:8-9, 7:13 what He thought of man made traditions which interfered with Divine Plans. In this particular case, the Divine Plan is not to keep the women cleaning toilets in the Apostolic Palace but to bring women fully into the areas of Church leadership not forbidden by the creative plan of God.

You are also right about the Transubstantiation (4) as well as the use of the Taiha during the service. Any symbol of the death culture, a "culture" which started millennia ago (5), and certainly has no place in a House of Worship. That is precisely why Jesus lived, died and resurrected for us - so that we would rescind such "culture" and embrace the "culture of love". A culture which those entrusted to diffuse the Good News rapidly forgot returning to the death culture (6) which still today, reigns supreme... and will until God repeats what He did during the time of Noah.  This time, true to His Word, He will not use water... He will use fire! (7)

Whether what we have written above is believed or not because "...we do not know the face of miguel de Portugal...", mankind will have to answer to the face of God why our final warnings (8) - delivered in His Name - have not bee heeded.

We remind one and all what we have said before and related by Matthew  3:7 7 And seeing many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them: Ye brood of vipers, who hath shewed you to flee from the wrath to come?

During the last several weeks what you have posted in the Divine Encouragement section has been - seemingly - as if it was written for me. I read it almost every day, and do try to think on it and take it to heart as best I can. But what it has contained recently - or at least what I have seen written there - impressed me as if the Lord was literally and directly communicating to me.

Of course it is true that Christ does try to communicate with me, as he does with every single soul on earth. In the most personal way - and even more intimately, the more we desire to know more and learn of Him.

In particular, what I read a few weeks back, was about the concept of forgive...... and most importantly..... to forget. To be able to say to those who have wronged me - were they standing before me - "it is as nothing, my friend", in imitation of Christ. That I took to heart. But more importantly, it made mention of "those who had lost a limb/amputated....... lost their business, livelihood, friends......... due to the actions of individuals", or words to that effect. That all describes my personal situation to a "T". Hence why I say it was as if it were "written personally for me".

If you were to say that these things were written more or less as I recall, then I say still that Christ was speaking to me about a most important thing for my soul. If you say that was not written there, then what I saw on that web page may well have been "miraculous", in the sense that Christ used it to reach me directly. Whichever is the truth, it is not important. What is important is that I now know for certain that Christ is trying to teach me through these spiritual guides. And I have listened, understood, and am consciously trying to put this into practice; to interiorly say "it is nothing" in reference to what wrong has been done to me by the efforts of evil men - for that is the truth, in the light of eternity. All that matters is Christ........ period...... and growing closer to Him, and letting Him lead me.

A. We shall answer your multifaceted question with a story.

In one of those long drives the man who became miguel de Portugal took after his conversion - a drive like the one in which he experienced his own personal Warning (1) - he was listening to a cassette tape of a series of relatively recent Marian Messages. Being early in his conversion, yet, with God "fast tracking" him to eventually anoint him miguel de Portugal (2), he had many questions regarding how he felt as well as about the information he somehow "just knew" and which kept coming. i.e. (3)

Amongst the messages (narrated by a female voice) in that particular cassette - a cassette which he had listened to many times - came a "message" that answered/clarified/confirmed whatever issues for which miguel had been seeking Divine guidance. After recognizing the clear response to his questions, he come to the realization that he just did not remember ever hearing that message before. The puzzle was so concrete that he played the entire tape - both sides - at least twice seeking the "message" which had brought the answers needed. He never found said "message" again.

Peace! Can you tell me about the appearances of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Coptic Orthodox Church of St. Mary in Zeitoun, Cairo?

I purchased a little booklet at our catholic book store titled 'Mary Returns to Egypt'. It is published by Divine Mercy Publications. This booklet has pictures taken of the apparitions that appeared from 1968 to 71. It said that Arabs, Jews, Catholics, Moslems, and nonbelievers alike witnessed these together. The Coptic Pope met with Pope Paul VI at the Vatican to discuss them. It said that these apparitions were not widely known outside of the Middle East.

The Egyptian newspapers reported widely on them and printed the photographs. I never heard of these visitations of our Blessed Mother. Are they authentic? Are they unknown because Mary never uttered any messages during the apparitions? She appeared to bless the witnesses.

My other question is about 'The Lady of All Nations'. I purchased a holy card with the image of Mary in front of a cross, arms outstretched to the Earth with blessed rays coming from Her hands. The back of the card had a most beautiful prayer that is so appropriate for these times. It is a prayer addressing The Holy Trinity with Mary as our advocate. It is simple to memorize and a deeply powerful prayer. I say it whenever I hear another terrible news story from around the world and feel helpless to change it except through prayer. It is deeply comforting. Even if 'The Lady of All Nations' is not approved by the Church the prayer itself is wonderful.

Blessings to you. Thank you

LR

A.  In the late eighties miguel de Portugal became familiar with apparitions of Mary at Zeitoun. Nothing that he read and/or reviewed gave him a negative feeling. On the contrary, everything "felt just right". Indeed Her silent Message was primarily to convey Her true Motherhood to mankind - regardless of race or creed.

Why has it been kept under wraps? Because it could not be easily exploited financially, as it is customary with Marian Apparitions, and Her silent message was uncomfortable to the the Ecclesiastic and Political Masters of the world. Just about the same situation encountered by the Rosa Mystica (1) apparitions.  There She spoke, but spoke very uncomfortable words for the Church Administrators - words which, of course, became fact as the Roman Catholic Church continued to decay in all aspects.

Regarding The Lady of All Nations... we are not very familiar with this advocacy and have always had an uncomfortable feeling about it.  The prayer that you mention:

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, send now Your Spirit over the earth. Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations, that they may be preserved from degeneration, disaster and war. May the Lady of All Nations, who once was Mary, be our Advocate. Amen

does not settle well with us either on three accounts. It is the Father Who send His Holy Spirit upon mankind; the Nations do not have a heart; and Mary will always be Mary. The explanation/justification they use for the statement "...who once was Mary..." could also be applied to Jesus, thus, as it can be easily seen, the next step would be something like: "Our Lord Maitreya, who once was Jesus...." (2)

We prefer: "Come Holy Spirit, come and renew the Faith on the Earth, come by the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your well beloved Spouse."

Thank you for the opportunity.

From  LL @  USA - Published on June 9th, 2007

Peace!!

I have a question regarding your document on 'The Will of God - How to Discern It'. (2)

You listed 3 steps. I am confused on step one. You said our actions 'will never be immoral or illegal as judged by the excepted standards of our environment'.  I wonder if there are exceptions... I also remember in one of the Divine Encouragement postings that Jesus said to not refuse anyone who asks for help, and that all those that come into our lives now are being sent from Him and to make all feel wanted and loved.

After reading your email of yesterday, about the 'project censored report'.  One of the stories that jumped out and caught my eye, was about detention centers being set up by Homeland Security for 'illegal immigrants'.... So my question is what about illegal immigrants and those being pursued by the law for non violent crimes, that come to us for help.... are we supposed to turn them away, because it would be illegal?

My first reaction is to say no.... that the loving thing to do would be to help them, any whichever way they need, regardless of the danger posed to us and our families and that the Lord will protect us, if  He has sent them to us, to help... but then again, I reread #1 and hear your words:  'When we do the Will of God our actions will never - ever -be immoral or illegal as judged by the accepted standards of our environment and our faith-formed conscience.'

So then I wonder if God would send such a person, or if it would just be a trap set for us, but then I think of all those who harbored and hid the Jews during the Holocaust, that was surely illegal, but I don't believe immoral and get confused all over again.

So if in the future if we are put in a position to do so, are we  just allowing satan to trick us and to get us caught in a snare, and by doing so actually bringing dishonor upon God by causing scandal or are there exceptions to the rule?

Thank you again for being there, and for all of your help... you truly are a gift from God to us, who are still so 'deaf'

As always you remain in my daily prayers and of course those of my prayers of thankfulness...

May God continue to shower you with His Graces so that you can continue to fulfill His Will, and continue helping us who are still have so far to go.

Love, peace, and blessings.

LL

A. Your kind words Glorify God, Whom we strive to serve! (1) We want to Glorify Him further because if you had not made the mistake you made, which you really did not, we would not have had this opportunity to address these very important issues.  As we have said in the past, we do not "fake questions" in our Public Forum; they must be posed by someone as they are prompted by God.

You state, first, "... You said our actions 'will never be immoral or illegal as judged by the excepted standards of our environment'."   We did not write "excepted" in said document (2), we wrote "accepted" just as you wrote when you quoted us again in the fourth paragraph of your letter above.  Therefore, no exceptions.

You address the immigration problem which is plaguing the world and which we must address. Thank you for the opportunity. Thus...

On one hand, one group wants to have an open door policy and allow everyone in. On another hand, others want none in. On the "third hand" there is a group that claims that immigration should be allowed in an organized and programmed manner for the benefit of the potential immigrant as well as for the host country, while, at the same time, the host country assist the immigrant's country in their own development so that their citizens would not want to flee in the future.

The answer - as simple as it is - escapes most. Would you leave your door unlocked and place a sign on the front lawn stating that anyone who wanted to come in and live in your house, and off your resources, is welcomed - no questions asked? Of course not! Yet, that is precisely what those of the "one hand" want the nations to do; something which will result in the chaos we see in the news daily. But then again, it is chaos that is needed to implement/force the New World Order. (3)  Just as Robespierre did when he steered the French Revolution in its First Reign of Terror.

The ones of the "other hand", are, of course akin to certain Hitlerian ideals. Those are the ones that are counting on the second chaos after the New World Order establishment, so that they can present their "Saving Christ" - the False Christ. (4)  Just as Robespierre did when he steered the French Revolution in its Second and Final Reign of Terror.

What you and your husband do for those in need is precisely how it should be handled in a national/international basis. That is, those of  the "third hand" are the ones who are acting Christ like. Unfortunately, they will not "get to first base" until Jesus Christ, the Eternal "Umpire" comes back to place the world on the track that the Church He founded was supposed to do and did not. (5)

The situation of hiding Jews from the Nazi murderers and helping them to escape cannot be compared with a fair immigration law. If Hitler would have expelled the Jews - without loss of property and/or life - as Spain and Portugal did in centuries past under very Catholic rulers, that would have been a different matter. It would have been a very unfair law but had to be obeyed until changed in a God-like manner.  However, extermination of human beings demand that we act to protect them, regardless of the civil law, in the measure that we are able to - something which God will expect us to do.

Of course, as those who have Eyes to See and Ears to Hear (6) know, the responsibility of the Hitlerian holocaust lies squarely in St. Peter's Square: First, the fires against Jews were kindled and fanned by the Roman Catholic Church for centuries (7); and Second, the Church Administrators had the opportunity to stop World War II before it started if they had acted upon the requests from Heaven at Fatima, but they did not. (8)

We pray and hope that we have answered your questions - and that of many - in full.

From  Initials Withheld [of a male late forties correspondent] @ Country Withheld - Published on June 6th, 2007

Hi Miguel,

When I wrote the following letter to you, I was already through the In Vitro Fertilization.

Thank God, I have now a beautiful little girl  named "[name withheld]". Please pray the Lord to make her holy.

Regards...

Initials Withheld of male correspondent

A.  First of all, you may be assured of our prayers for you and your daughter. Secondly, know that it would have been easier for m de P not to answer this communication, however, that would have been a betrayal to the One Whom miguel strives to serve and a missed opportunity to Evangelize those who seek the Truth.

We see that we sent you the letter on Sunday, August 08, 2004 9:24 AM - almost three years ago. In said letter you shared with,  and asked many things from, us. The end of the letter and the Post Script (PS) read as follows:

Please don't publish this letter (unless you see it as a help to anyone).  PS.  The grace I was asking for from Our Lord and Our Lady is to have a baby. While I cannot have one the Normal way, I'm trying through In Vitro Fertilization. Please pray for me, if its the Lord's will.

Our response/comment on August 8, 2004 was:

Now I understand why God has not granted this request for which I have prayed for, conditionally to His Will. If He had wanted you to have children, you would not be homosexual (1). In love and in charity I ask you to kindly consider that since, if He, through His passive (as opposed to "active") Will, ever allowed it, it would be a monumental disaster - we assure you.

Seek for ways, in accordance to His Will
(2), that you may channel your paternal feelings. Consider the following (which He just gave me): Do you have an idea how many homosexual children/young adults who do not have a Big Brother or a Surrogate Father to assist them with their situation. If we brought consolation to you - what are you waiting for to bring consolation to them?

You would then have not one but "only God knows" how many children whom you have given them a new life in Christ!

Many Blessings for you and your family.  If you ever plan another trip to Fátima - let us know in advance and, if we are in the neighborhood (am sitting now about 1 hour's drive from there), we shall then meet.

Not only we advised against your plans but this was just a few months after we had published The Warning From St. Paul - miguel de Portugal Repeats It Now (3), which was published on April 13, 2004.

As we stated in our opening line, you may be assured of our prayers for you and your daughter; however, what we stated in the letter to you and in the document published four months before your letter, stands unchanged.

[Note to all readers: The above is a case-specific response. It should not be made into a general purpose advice. For example, a woman who, after being married and having born children, realizes that she is more attracted to women than to men - that is, she is homosexual - is not to give up raising her children because she is homosexual. Conversely, a man who marries and have children as a cover up to his homosexuality, is a different situation. etc. A woman who marries and has children just because she is expected to even though she does not want to is yet another situation.  Each case is unique in its details and God is the Supreme Judge, not man; and that Supreme Judge handles each case individually and with the Mercy (4) accrued in the individual's "Heavenly Account".]

What a wonderful way to wake up!!!

I truly enjoyed "There's a man in here". (1)

Also, thanks for standing up for the United States in the article you wrote to the Washington Post. (2)

God bless.

FP

A.  Thank you for your kind words.

Regarding standing up for the United States... Double standards are not of God nor is iniquity. For us to have the right to, in the Name of God, denounce what is wrong in organized religion and/or world politics, we must also uphold and defend what is right, good and fair regardless of the consequences.

(2) The letter, copies of which also went to the book's author, the writer refers to follows:

In reference to the book review titled "Blind Faith" in the Washington Post [Sunday, March 4, 2007]...

Quote from article:

The United States is the most religious nation in the developed world, if religiosity is measured by belief in all things supernatural -- from God and the Virgin Birth to the humbler workings of angels and demons. Americans are also the most religiously ignorant people in the Western world. Fewer than half of us can identify Genesis as the first book of the Bible, and only one third know that Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount.

We Comment:

Obviously the author has not lived "amongst the natives" in Holy Spain and Holy Portugal as miguel de Portugal has, in addition to living in the US for most of his life too.

It is obvious that anyone, even someone who is the chair of the religion department at Boston University, can be an "expert" and publish a book.

We suggest a review of: http://www.mgr.org/DemiseOfFaithPart3.html  for another set of statistics.

Quote from article:

The condition Prothero describes in Religious Literacy is unquestionably one manifestation of a more general decline in the public's cultural and civic knowledge. According to polls conducted by the National Constitution Center, only one third of Americans can name even one of the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. Is it any more startling that only one third can identify the preacher of the Sermon on the Mount?

A 2005 survey by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life found that nearly two-thirds of Americans endorse the simultaneous teaching of creationism and evolution in public schools. How can citizens know what creationism means, or make an informed decision about whether it belongs in classrooms, if fewer than half can identify Genesis? No doubt the same proportion of Americans think that Thomas Edison said, "Let there be light."

Approximately 75 percent of adults, according to polls cited by Prothero, mistakenly believe the Bible teaches that "God helps those who help themselves." More than 10 percent think that Noah's wife was Joan of Arc. Only half can name even one of the four Gospels, and -- a finding that will surprise many -- evangelical Christians are only slightly more knowledgeable than their non-evangelical counterparts.

We Comment:

It is far, far easier to find a Bible - even if it is mostly used as a coffee table decoration - in a home in the US than in Spain or Portugal. Just last night in a prayer group composed of those who have know and prayed with m de P for a while - which means that they have been exposed to the Bible and to God more than most here - when he started to speak of the Ark of the Covenant, they thought he was about to speak of the Noah's Ark.... and Joan of Arc?  If it isn't a character in a Brazilian Soap Opera, in Portugal, or a Bullfighter, in Spain, we doubt that they'll know who she was.

Quote from article:

It is less surprising but more dangerous, given America's role in the world, that the public knows even less about Islam, Buddhism, Confucianism and Hinduism than it does about Christianity and Judaism.

We Comment:

Try to find out what the rank and file Portuguese and Spaniards know about Islam, Buddhism, Confucianism and Hinduism. My God! In Portugal if you are from the US or Japan or Venezuela, you are not an American or a Japanese or a Venezuelan... you are "a foreigner" speaking "foreign".

We had a very hard time finding a Koran in Portuguese to use in our Portuguese version of http://www.mgr.org/FoundationOfFaith.html

The US Catholics can practice their Faith in a far richer and proper manner than most Portuguese, Spaniard, French, ITALIAN !!!, Austrian, POLISH !!!, etc. However, at one time m de P was involved with a group from the Czech Republic and as we prayed and offered Mass together, one could "cut their Faith with a knife" - what a wonderful feeling!

Quote from article:

The weakest part of this otherwise excellent book is Prothero's proposed remedy: high school and college courses dealing with the historical and cultural role of religion. As the author rightly notes, teaching about religion -- as distinct from preaching religion -- is not prohibited by the First Amendment's ban on "an establishment of religion." But given the failure of so many schools to inculcate the most elementary facts about American history, it is hard to imagine that most teachers would be up to the task of explaining, say, the subtleties of biblical arguments for and against slavery. Furthermore, a curriculum that would meet with the approval of Catholic, Jewish, Muslim, Protestant and non religious parents would probably be a worthless set of platitudes.

We Comment:

At least we can strongly agree with this one suggestion from Mr. Prothero... and they could start using http://www.mgr.org/FoundationOfFaith.html as the text book since, for any Christian, Jew or Muslim "theologian" to disagree with its contents they would have to throw away the Books the claim to uphold.

One Final Comment from The M+G+R Foundation:  We are the first to point out whatever is wrong in our society in the US - politically, socially and religiously, while offering suggested remedies; however, "fire and brimstone starts coming out of my ears" when the US system is bashed when compared to, what seems to be "Utopia" for most writers, which is - whatever is not of the US!

From CC  @ USA -  Published on June 4th, 2007

I am interested in a book of the messages from Our Lady of La Salette; or if a book is not available; the messages.

I read an article in a back issue of Sign and Wonders magazine and am interested in more information on Our Lady's messages from La Salette. My contact information is below. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you,

CC

A.  We have written extensively on Our Lady of La Salette. The informative document may be accessed by Clicking Here

In addition, one book that we recommend is: Sister Mary of the Cross, The Shepherdess of La Salette by Abbe Paul Gouin, published in English in 1981 (also previously published in French, Italian, Spanish and Flemish). We have checked the English version with the original French version and there is a perfect match.

The inside cover of the book reads that to obtain copies one should write to: Mr. Fernand Corteville, President de l'Association Des Enfants de Notre Dame de la Salette & Saint Louis Grignion de Montfort, Editor of L'Impartial, French Bulletin of the Association, 12 Avenue du Grain d'Or, 49600 Beaupreau, FRANCE

Keep in mind that we do not recommend anything published recently since all is being changed - Fatima included - to suit the needs of those who are behind the manifestation of the False Christ.

Brethren,

Words fail me. Is it sufficient to pray for all sinners or should I pray specifically for all those who participate in abortion?

Yours in Christ.

IC

A.  The writer refers to a recent mailing with photographs of an abortion clinic "discard storage facility". Accompanying such gruesome pictures we wrote:

May God have Mercy on us all!

In the following images you will see the result of not praying for the end of abortion as Jesus taught us to:

But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: [Matthew 5:44]

and by not acting upon what Mary taught us and we have thoroughly explained in http://www.mgr.org/redempt.html

Make no mistake - whomever does not actively pray for the end of abortion will share on the invoice presented by Heaven because of this...

In response to the the question submitted we answer thus:

Every day, at least one decade of the Rosary is offered for the following intention: "In reparation for the sins committed by those who promote and perform abortion and euthanasia; sins and offenses for which the Divine Justice justly demands reparation (1) before Thou can work the pleasure of Thy Mercy in those souls, thus achieve their conversion with its logical consequence of abandoning such destructive life."

Also the intentions of a Holy Mass are offered for the same purpose presented by the same invocation.

(1) The methodology has been thoroughly explained in http://www.mgr.org/redempt.html

Just wanted to make sure I was still on your list.

Thanks

From Initials Withheld @ Country ID Withheld -  Published on May 31st

I am writing on behalf of a friend whom I will call Leo.

Leo is taking a battery of government related tests in an effort to secure a better position. For the first set of tests someone gave him advantageous information before the test, thus, logically, he did well. Afterwards, remorse set in and he underwent the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

For the second set of tests, the same individual gave him advantageous information in a folded slip of paper. Leo, well repented of his prior transgression, placed the note in his pocket and never read it.

Now, the last set of tests are coming up and Leo is concerned because he feels that the "benefactor" will, this time, give him the information verbally. In this case - even if he did not want to hear it, he will.

Leo does not want to receive said advantageous information yet he does not want to tell his "benefactor" to remain silent for fear of offending him. In addition, it will create for himself a few problems since the "benefactor" is a member of his family plus is connected with him through his current employment.

What should he do?

Initials Withheld

A.  The answer lies in the Holy Scriptures; most specifically in 1 Corinthians 10:

23 All things are lawful for me, but all things do not edify. 24 Let no man seek his own, but that which is another's. 25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, eat; asking no question for conscience' sake.  26 The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof. 27 If any of them that believe not, invite you, and you will be willing to go; eat of any thing that is set before you, asking no question for conscience' sake. 28 But if any man say: This has been sacrificed to idols, do not eat of it for his sake that told it, and for conscience' sake. 29 Conscience, I say, not thy own, but the other's. For why is my liberty judged by another man's conscience?

In plain English what Paul is saying is: If you eat food that was offered to idols in the presence of a non believer in Christ, of one who sacrifices to idols and then eats the food, you are causing scandal; you give the impression that you are betraying your faith in Christ.  If conversely, the food was offered to idols before and is not presented to you as such, it does not matter if you eat it - no scandal will be given; no soul will be misled.

Even if Leo did not read the folded paper given to him for the second set of tests, and if the "benefactor" knows Leo as a man of God, Leo has already given a very poor example of Christianity. Even if Leo could forget the verbal clues for the third set, once again, he will be giving scandal.

The only way out is to clear the air with the "benefactor" with great charity - that is - do not make the "benefactor" look like a crook; let God gently and progressively reveal his iniquity to him using your gentle, but firm, example.

Let us not practice what the Vatican has been teaching for over 1600 years and because which the Evangelization failed - duplicity and hypocrisy. Let us live the Gospel and, if the Church Administration want to form a Conga Line and dance into hell, that is their prerogative - we rather Soft Rock our way into Heaven.
