The following communication was sent, in the respective languages, to the Directors of all English and Spanish speaking Marian Movement of Priests Centers worldwide. At the time, miguel de Portugal maintained frequent correspondence with such centers.

Communiqué No. 14

My dear brother of the Marian Movement of Priests:

I pray that this communiqué finds you working joyfully and tirelessly in preparation for the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of our Beloved Mother and the return in Glory of our Beloved Lord, a scant years hence.

Today, with apocalyptic resignation and joyful submission to the Divine Plans, we are bringing to your attention a possible problem with some of the information contained in the famous book of our beloved Pope John Paul II, "Varcare la soglia della Speranza".

This humble instrument will limit himself to present a Hypothesis and a Thesis, with the conclusion presented in the form of questions for you to answer yourself within your own heart.

The enclosed document is all self explanatory and self contained.

[Humility dictated that the paragraph occupying this space be edited out.]

May God bestow upon you His choicest Blessings and Our Heavenly Mother illuminate your path with the Pure and Virginal Light of Her Immaculate Heart.

However, the recipient and his superiors are encouraged to use this information in whichever manner the Holy Spirit moves him. Statement of Position:

It is not the intent of this work to discredit in any way, directly or indirectly, any statement legitimately made by our beloved John Paul II.

The responsibility of any possible error that may be uncovered, could be assigned to the translators, editors, publishers, printers and/or those in the Vatican Complex who attended to the details of the publishing of this book. Never, under any circumstances, will miguel of Portugal impute such responsibility upon His Holiness, John Paul II, the true and last Successor of Peter.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Fátima

The Fátima requests and prophecies regarding Russia and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary follow:

To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturday. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a period of Peace will be granted to the world.

The original documentation in Portuguese in Sister Lucia's own handwriting with the appropriate translations and references, may be found in Note (1).


Plans of the Enemies of H.H. John Paul II, thus, of God

a. Discredit completely all Marian apparitions, thus, neutralizing the Heavenly Warnings being given to us by the Virgin Mary since early last century in preparation for the Second Coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

b. Remove John Paul II from the Chair of Peter and install a false Pope. [This plan was abandoned, therefore, we will edit out references to it from this document.]

Attempts to discredit Marian Apparitions

The basic tactic is to expose the 1917 events at Fátima as fraud or error since Fátima is the: (1) Marian apparition best known world wide; (2) Endorsed by Popes from Pius XII to John Paul II; and is (3) Apocalyptic in nature.

By the Grace of God, miguel de Portugal exposed to key groups worldwide [ranging from: The Roman Curia down to the local levels and the press] the well hidden and carefully laid plans to achieve this objective

Plan A

Make it appear that the Fátima Apparitions were the result of visits of extraterrestials interested in our well being. This would explain all supernatural events, including the Miracle of the Sun witnessed by over 70,000 people and well documented by the press. Books have been written on this theme as well as sham television debates have been conducted in Portugal.

Once this plan was publicly exposed, alternative plans had to be implemented.

Plan B

Prove that the far reaching press reports made of the Miracle of the Sun (October 13, 1917), which is a concrete historical fact and may be found in many press and library files, was a ploy set up by the Catholic Clergy and the Portuguese Press to manipulate the faithful.

With most witnesses already dead and the last visionary, Sister Lucia, isolated from the world in a Carmelite Cloister, it would be easy to discredit Fátima completely as well as all the Popes that believed in its reality; most specially, H.H. John Paul II. Once this plan (2) was also publicly exposed, another action had to be taken.

A Hypothesis - (Of Their Third Plan)

The whole world needs to be convinced that the Fátima prophecies have been fulfilled and that all is well now. This could effectively be achieved if: (a) Sister Lucia were to be quoted as attesting to that fact; and (b) Pope John Paul II were to be also quoted making a similar pronouncement in the midst of apparent doctrinal errors. Then...

A Thesis - (Of Their Third Plan)

When the alleged fulfillment of the prophecies, which appear to be certified by Sister Lucia through recent interviews and H.H. John Paul II, are proven false by devastating world events obvious to all, then, with one stroke: (1) Fátima and all Marian Apparitions are discredited; (2) The significance of the Virgin Mary is discredited; and (3) John Paul II, and all his magnificent work to restore The Church, is discredited.


Confirmation

Consider These Political and Social Hard Facts

1. Peace, at a universal level, has never been so absent in the history of the world. Whatever little "peace" we live in today is only a media orchestrated illusion. For example: Whomever may think that we are at new levels of peace in the Middle East is out of touch with reality. The Middle East has never been so potentially explosive since the establishment of the state of Israel.

While this document is being prepared [December 1995] the Caucasian republics of the Russian Federation are about to go up in smoke because they challenge to Moscow's authority. {"If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace;"}

2. The U.S.S.R. is no longer officially in existence, yet, communism is progressing well worldwide and actually being chosen through the electoral process over the neo-capitalism that replaced the system officially dismantled in the post U.S.S.R period. {"The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted,..."}

"Conversion", in any theological context refers to a "change of heart". It is safe to assume that our Lady meant a "conversion" from the atheistic system in existence, communism, to a system that would be God centered. Savage capitalism and galloping consumerism, where "God" is now "Unbridled Materialism" cannot be considered the goal that our Lady had when She spoke of the "conversion" of Russia.

Irrefutable, concrete and bloody evidence prove that:

a. There is no peace. The situation is actually worse than before.

b. The spread of Communism is progressing well and now gaining power through the electoral process as a desperate move of the citizenry.

c. Russia has not been converted by any theological terms, definitions and considerations.





In Chapter 20 (pp. ), which addresses the apparent dissolution of the U.S.S.R. or "the fall of communism", our beloved John Paul is quoted as having written:

And what about the three Portuguese children of Fatima[...] who heard 'Russia will be converted' and 'In the end, my Heart will triumph'?

"They could not have invented such predictions[..]. And nonetheless, exactly all that they had announced has occurred. (Item AA)

Further, he is quoted as having written:

Therefore, it would be very easy to say that Divine Providence caused the communism to fall[...] But it fell by itself, because of its own internal weakness." (Item BB)


Conclusions

1. Is there any coherence between Item AA and the actual socio-political conditions in the world?

2. Is there any coherence between Item BB and what Item AA implies?

3. If Item BB is a fact, why did God consider necessary to give us the messages in Fátima?

4. Is the all encompassing reality of Divine Providence being negated? ["...it fell by itself..."] or...

5. Are we [in 1995] witnessing a sign of the plot, denounced by the book editor Mr. Vittorio Messori, to force the resignation of the Holy Father? [Interview with Mr. Messori published in the Italian newspaper "Il Messaggero" and quoted by the Portuguese newspaper "O Dia" in its November 3, 1994, edition.]


Epilogue

Before reading "Varcare la Soglia della Speranza", Divine Providence had led miguel de Portugal to read the following documents from the hand of John Paul II:

a. "Decalogo per il Terzo Millennio" [Spanish version], ISBN: 84-288-1186-5. A sparkling compendium of John Paul II Encyclicals, Homilies and Discourses to diverse interest groups organized by topics of great worldwide interest covering 1979 to 1994.

b. A book with all the illuminating public statements made by H.H. John Paul II during his visit to Spain in 1982.

c. The full text of the Encyclical Veritatis Splendor.

There is perfect internal coherence in each of the above documents, coherence among them, coherence with the world in action and coherence with all the information granted to miguel of Portugal by Heaven, past, present and future.

We could not make the same statement regarding our experience with the contents of "Varcare la soglia della Speranza". Compared to the texts in items (a), (b) and (c), "Varcare...." Is without luster and all encompassing coherence.


Point to Ponder

Are we facing a similar situation to the one H.H. Paul VI found himself in regarding artificial means of birth control when "The Vatican" issued a statement that the use of artificial birth control, a resounding doctrinal error, would be approved soon?

If the situation we find in "Varcare..." is a similar one, there is not sufficient time left to issue a far reaching correcting statement and, like in the above cited parallel, it would be next to impossible for man to reverse the saturation effect achieved by the blanketing method used in the publishing of this book.

However, all is possible for God, and He shall soon speak in unmistakable terms.

Be at peace, all is well. Even he, who "would not serve", must serve. Almighty God, the uncreated Creator is above all and nothing is impossible for Him. Do your part and He will surely do His. This eternal reality is always manifested in proportion to the strength of your faith.
