OPENING DAY
PRAYER
Jesus, my Lord and God. I bow down
in humble adoration before You. From the depths of that humility
I raise my eyes to You and in humble supplication to Your Sacred Heart,
implore Your Mercy and forgiveness for my many sins. Grant me the
Grace to spend this day of holy and loving reparation with all the holy
dispositions You desire.
Enter into my heart Yourself, dearest
Lord, and work Your pleasure in it; directing all my faculties, senses
and powers to Your greater Honor and Glory. Help me to console
You for all the wrong doings Your loving Heart receives from an
ungrateful mankind.
Mary, dearest Mother, and you, great St.
Joseph, teach me to pray, to love, to make reparation and to adore the
Loving Heart of Jesus, so often abandoned hidden in the
Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen!
Most Holy Trinity, as an act of my free
will, I totally abandon myself into Your Hands; do with me what You
Will. Whatever You may do, I thank you; I am ready
for all; I accept all that You Will be done in me and in all Your
creatures - I wish no more than this, O Lord, other than you sustain me
throughout whatever I may have to go through. Amen!
TO OUR GUARDIAN
ANGEL
Hear me Lord, Holy Father,
Almighty and Eternal God and graciously send Your Holy Angels from
Heaven to watch over, to cherish, to protect, to abide with, and to
defend me and all who dwell in (fill in here a location and/or

infallible Guide.

TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS
Heart of Jesus, all Holy! Fountain of all
blessings, I adore You, I love You, and with lively sorrow for my sins,
I offer You this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient,
pure and entirely obedient to Your Will.
Good Jesus, grant that I may live in You
and for You. Protect me in the midst of danger; comfort me in my
afflictions; give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs,
Your blessings on all that I do, and the Grace of a holy death.

A MEDITATION
ABOUT SILENCE
Silence is a sword in the spiritual
struggle. A talkative soul will seldom attain sanctity. The
sword of silence will cut off everything that would like to cling to
the soul. We are sensitive to words and quickly want to answer
back, without taking any regard as to whether it is God's will that we
should speak. A silent soul is strong; no adversities will harm
it if it perseveres in silence. The silent soul is capable of
attaining the closest union with God. It lives almost always
under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God works in a silent
soul without hindrance.
OFFERINGS TO

God Holy Spirit, Infinite Love of the
Father and the Son, as an offering to the Immaculate Heart of Mary,

Of
Faith
Lord Jesus Christ, I firmly
believe that You are truly
present in the Blessed Sacrament as true God and
true Man, with Your Body, Blood and Divinity, My Redeemer and my Judge,
I adore Your Divine Majesty together with the angels and saints.
I believe, O Lord; increase my faith to the extent that you have
ordained from all Eternity.
Of Hope
Good Jesus, in You alone I place
all my hope. You are my salvation and my strength, the Source of
all good. Through Your Mercy, through Your Passion and Death, I
hope to obtain the pardon of my sins, the grace of final perseverance
and a happy eternity.
Of Love
Jesus, my God, I want to love You
more and more with my
whole heart and above all, because you have given
Your life for
me, a poor sinner, and in Your Mercy You have even offered Yourself as
food for my soul.
My
God, I love you. Inflame my heart so that I may love you more.
Of Contrition
O my Savior, I am truly sorry if
I have offended You because You are infinitely good and sin displeases
You.
I regret all the sins of my life and seek your forgiveness, and the
necessary races to avoid them in the future.
Through the merits of Your Precious Blood, wash from my soul all stain
of sin, o that, cleansed in body and soul,
I may worthily approach You!
KEEP AT YOUR
WORK
The Lord has given to every man his work.
It is his business to do it, and the devil's business to hinder him if
he can. So sure as God has given you a work to do, satan will try to
hinder you.
He may present other things more
promising. He may allure you by worldly prospects, he may assault you
with slander, torment you with false accusations, set you to work
defending your character, employ pious persons to lie about you,
editors to assail you, and excellent men to slander you.
You may have Pilate and Herod, Ananias and
Caiaphas all combined against you, and Judas standing by you ready to
sell you for thirty pieces of silver; and you may wonder why all those
things come upon you.
Can you not see that the whole thing
is brought about through the craft of the devil? To draw you off from
your work and hinder your obedience to God?
Keep about your work. Do not flinch
because the lion roars; do not stop to stone the devil's dogs; do not
fool away your time chasing the devil's rabbits. Do your work!
Let liars lie, let sectarians quarrel, let
corporations resolve, let editors publish, let the devil do his worst;
but see to it that nothing hinders you from fulfilling the work God has
given you.
He has not sent you to make money. He has
not commanded you to get rich. He has never bidden you to defend your
character, He has not set you at work to contradict falsehood which
satan and his servants may start to peddle. If you do these things, you
will do nothing else; you will be at work for yourself and not for the
Lord.
Keep about your work. Let your aim be as
steady as a star. Let the world brawl and bubble. You may be assaulted,
wronged, insulted, slandered, wounded and rejected; you may be abused
by foes, forsaken by friends and despised and rejected of men, but see
to it, with steadfast determination, with unfaltering zeal, that you
pursue the great purpose of your life and object of your being, until
at last you can say: "I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to
do".
CONCLUSION
We pray
that all will find much peace and joy,
as well as spiritual and material benefits, from offering the above
prayers on a regular basis. Some of them, once a day; others,
once a week, and so on as the Holy Spirit of God moves each one of you.
