Selected and Highly Recommended Prayers
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this document is to share with those who visit our pages many of the prayers in English which miguel de Portugal regularly offers in addition to the Holy Rosary (1), Chaplet of Mercy (2), Chaplet of Tears (3) , Via Crucis (4) and other devotional practices (5).

Therefore, we have chosen to release a number of those prayers miguel offered since almost the beginning of his journey. Many of them were regularly offered before he even offered his first Holy Rosary.
In addition to the following prayers, he offers other in Spanish, Portuguese and Latin but not having the appropriate human resources to conduct the translation and formatting work, they will not be published at this time.

OPENING DAY PRAYER
Jesus, my Lord and
God. I bow down in humble adoration before You. From the depths of that humility I raise my
eyes to You and in humble supplication to Your Sacred Heart, implore Your Mercy and forgiveness
for my many sins. Grant me the Grace to spend this day of holy and loving reparation with
all the holy dispositions You desire.
Enter into my heart Yourself, dearest Lord, and work Your pleasure in it; directing all my faculties, senses and powers to Your greater Honor and Glory. Help me to console You for all the wrong doings Your loving Heart receives from an ungrateful mankind.
Mary, dearest Mother, and you, great St. Joseph, teach me to pray, to love, to make reparation and to adore the Loving Heart of Jesus, so often abandoned hidden in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen!

Eternal Father, I
offer The Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, for the holy souls in purgatory, for
sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my

A MEDITATION ABOUT SILENCE
Silence is a sword in
the spiritual struggle. A talkative soul will seldom attain sanctity. The sword of
silence will cut off everything that would like to cling to the soul. We are sensitive to
words and quickly want to answer back, without taking any regard as to whether it is God's will
that we should speak. A silent soul is strong; no adversities will harm it if it perseveres
in silence. The silent soul is capable of attaining the closest union with God. It
lives almost always under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. God works in a silent soul
without hindrance.

God Holy Spirit,
Infinite Love of the Father and the Son, as an offering to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your
Immaculate Spouse, I am firmly resolved now more than ever, to hear Your voice, and to do in all

KEEP AT YOUR WORK
The Lord has
given to every man his work. It is his business to do it, and the devil's business to hinder him
if he can. So sure as God has given you a work to do, satan will try to hinder you.
He may present other things more promising. He may allure you by worldly prospects, he may assault you with slander, torment you with false accusations, set you to work defending your character, employ pious persons to lie about you, editors to assail you, and excellent men to slander you.
You may have Pilate and Herod, Ananias and Caiaphas all combined against you, and Judas standing by you ready to sell you for thirty pieces of silver; and you may wonder why all those things come upon you.
Can you not see that the whole thing is brought about through the craft of the devil? To draw you off from your work and hinder your obedience to God?
Keep about your work. Do not flinch because the lion roars; do not stop to stone the devil's dogs; do not fool away your time chasing the devil's rabbits. Do your work!
Let liars lie, let sectarians quarrel, let corporations resolve, let editors publish, let the devil do his worst; but see to it that nothing hinders you from fulfilling the work God has given you.
He has not sent you to make money. He has not commanded you to get rich. He has never bidden you to defend your character, He has not set you at work to contradict falsehood which satan and his servants may start to peddle. If you do these things, you will do nothing else; you will be at work for yourself and not for the Lord.

CONCLUSION
We pray that all will find much peace and joy, as well as spiritual and material benefits, from offering the above prayers on a regular basis. Some of them, once a day; others, once a week, and so on as the Holy Spirit of God moves each one of you.
