PURPOSE
The purpose of this Public Forum - Part II is to publish communications sent to us, communications which require no response from us, yet, we feel that their content may be beneficial for the spiritual health of the Faithful.
We reserve the right to choose which communications will be published and to edit them as
necessary for clarity. The identity of the correspondent will be kept confidential unless
requested otherwise.

Greetings to you in His Name:
Last evening I had the privilege to attend an informational meeting concerning what is called MEF (Mass In the Extraordinary Form) which older Catholics will recognize as the Traditional Latin Mass predating Vatican II.
St. Ann's Parish here in Charlotte NC will begin a weekly schedule of the MEF at the Saturday morning 8 am daily Mass beginning May 31, 2008 with plans to introduce it as one of the Masses for the Sunday Obligation in the near future...
I would like to share this website (1) with the members of our confraternity here at the Foundation and across the world. It is my hope that those who visit there will discover the great sense of peace and wonderment which defined our faith for many of us older Catholics.

2. In what appears to be outright revenge against NYC clergy whom Egan does not like (or perhaps those not 100% in line with the OD agenda?... my own speculation), he is abruptly transferring some 47 priests; that is 10% of the active NYC clergy! This includes those whose pastorate terms are not yet up (!). All done without consulting the Archdiocese Personnel Board...... much less the affected clerics. Never before have so many been arbitrarily transferred with no explanation. As the anonymous clerics quoted in the linked articles intimate, this was revenge against those whom Egan didn't like, and reward for those he does. Since it is increasingly clear that Egan is retiring soon, this may be "clearing the deck" for the new & yet unknown incumbent. (2) (3)
Located on 33rd Street near 2nd Avenue, the former convent of the now-closed parish of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary was kept by the archdiocese to maintain a Catholic presence for the health-care workers at nearby NYU Hospital. While the renovated building will keep its public chapel and have living space for priests in full-time hospital ministry, its most-prominent feature is a sizable new apartment which, according to the official plans, was being constructed for the use of visiting dignitaries, with the potential of serving as long-term lodging. Situated as it is on the East Side, the residence is an easy drive from the chancery, St Patrick's Cathedral and the city's airports.
With the cardinal said to be unusually interested in the project's progress -- even "down to the tiles," according to one op -- the paint was reported to be on the flat's walls before the weekend of the papal visit." (5)
Why should we be surprised when the Catholic Church is projecting such dark images thus destroying the little Catholic Faith that is left?

I have been posed the question: What is the real meaning of "It means more to me to not offend God than to be 'right' with others."?
Perhaps I can answer that question better with a living example.
The first thing man must remember is the First Commandment - God and His Will must be placed above all. Of course, this does not mean that man must sin claiming that he did it by placing God and His Will above all - Means never justify the end! The concept will better understood as follows: When we must make a choice, we must always defer to God above all - not to man.
To the example: My daughter - who is over 30 - is getting married. What started to be a simple wedding has tuned into the usual social event. i.e. Preparation for the Sacrament: One meeting with the priest, interview with the lay individual in charge of marriages in the parish and a written test - Period! There will not be a Mass offered as part of the Sacrament in deference to the non Catholics who will present and those Catholics who rather skip Mass. In summary, as far as God is concerned: It will be a civil union conducted inside a Church building with a priest officiating as a Justice of the Peace.
To her benefit I must add that she is on the right track and heading in the right direction - unfortunately the speed has been greatly reduced by "friends" and other family members whom she place great trust in.
Logically I was to "Give her away" at the wedding. Because of my current situation she would foot any and all expenses associated with my attendance to the wedding.
She knows well where I stand regarding reasonable modesty and most specially in a Sacramental environment - being Mass or Wedding or Baptism, etc. Therefore, she informs me that the Maids of Honor dress had been chosen [chosen - not ordered yet] and she gives me the cyberspace location (1) of the dress for my review. She also informs me that the wedding dress will be essentially the same style.
Upon viewing the design I realize, without a doubt, that such gown is not acceptable to God in a Sacramental environment. I spent time navigating through the gown company Site and found out that they provide - for essentially any model - very attractive and varied removable "add ons" made of lace - that would tone down the amount of exposed flesh during the ceremony.
Enriched with all that information and excited about the "perfect compromise" I speak to my daughter and inform her that - without a removable "add on" for her, I could not be part of the ceremony. She felt that I was being difficult and would not even consider my suggestion. Therefore - I will not be part of the wedding of my only daughter since she has chosen a dress design over her father's presence due to his firm believe that the chosen dress - as is - was not appropriate for the occasion, thus offensive to God.
Let us now assume that I had gone along with the whole affair: No Sacramental preparation (2); no Mass and a less than modest dress. Who would have known? Only God and myself. That was enough reason for me to say "No". Which brings me back to the trigger question for writing this letter: It is more important for me NOT to offend God than to be "right" with others.
I hope that this testimonial may assist the readership of The M+G+R Foundation in understanding the situation better.

Madrid, Apr 15, 2008 / 01:27 pm (CNA)- Archbishop Emeritus Fernando Sebastian of Pamplona said Catholics in Spain should confront the “cultural revolution” that is being carried out by the Socialist Party in the country by proclaiming God.
In an interview on COPE radio, the archbishop said, “Today in Spain Catholics need to be aware that we are capable of sustaining a face-to-face discussion with the message of the culture of the Socialist party which is seeking to promote a cultural revolution. “We are not the opposition party,” he said, “but rather the Church of Jesus.”
Fortunately our faith does not depend on politics,” he continued. Politicians must be “put in their place” and not be allowed to legislate whatever they want.
The world is governed by the principle of pleasure,” and in order to confront it and live in the truth we must realize that “we do not exist alone, but rather we exist in the world.” This problem, he said, has its origin in the “non-recognition of God.”
Archbishop Sebastian said, “We need to proclaim God, to recover the notion of creation. I don’t understand how one can be happy without having global vision.”
.... Who is to "put them in their place" and "not allow"? Sounds like the overture to Inquisition II.

The none-too-subtle reference to "the big fool'.......... President Lyndon Johnson....... didn't go over people's heads! Many loved it - many hated it. The CBS network censors and executives quickly canceled the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, and Seeger himself was not seen on air for quite a while.

The Schedule seems to continue to seamlessly move forward, with fresh neocon agitation to attack Iran before the end of 2008.
According to several commenters, the Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. was on Fox News this morning making the same fear-mongering claim.
The principal tactic Israel-centric neocons have repeatedly used with Bush to induce him to attack Iran has been to tell him that history will judge him based on whether he permits Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon. From The Weekly Standard's Irwin Stelzer, writing about a 2007 White House luncheon with Bush, historian Andrew Roberts, and a group of necons:
Norman Podhoretz, when telling the President to bomb Iran, used the same tactic:
He also told Bush: "You have the awesome responsibility to prevent another holocaust. You're the only one with the guts to do it." . . . .
"The president has said several times that he will be in the historical dock if he allows Iran to get the bomb. He believes that if we wait for threats to fully materialise, we'll have waited too long -- something I agree with 100%,' Podhoretz said.
And now, magically up pops these new reports from Israel warning that the deadline to stop Iran's nuclear bomb is the end of the year -- right before George Bush leaves office. Bush has less than eight months left to fulfill his history-mandated mission "to prevent another holocaust" by attacking Iran, or else "be in the historical dock if he allows Iran to get the bomb." They're as transparent as they are dishonest and bloodthirsty.

The United States' 1.5million service personnel and Guantanamo's 3,000

They even have a Wal-Mart supermarket.
The vacation comes at a knock-down price: just $42 (£20) per night for a suite of air-conditioned rooms, including a kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedrooms.
But it is the souvenirs that have led to the greatest criticism. One T-shirt from the gift shop is decorated with a guard tower and barbed wire. It reads: "The Taliban Towers at Guantanamo Bay, the Caribbean's Newest 5-star Resort."

Several days ago we published in our "Did you know that...?" page that beggars had been banned from Assisi (1). We wish to elaborate on that matter and give them the benefit of the doubt.
When I lived in the Sanctuary of Fatima, I befriended a few gypsy families that lived in the area. One of them lived just "under the pines" as they had told me and I had misunderstood - since that seemed quite inconceivable. I shared whatever little I had with them, and so did they with me.
One good day the Sanctuary issued an order, not only forbidding beggars in the area, but also forbidding the visitors to give assistance to the beggars. miguel "raised the proverbial roof" and the Sanctuary recanted in a most imaginative manner - a manner with which we agreed totally.
The banning was to be applied to beggars which were not known to us; i.e., any beggar that we were familiar with - we could help to our hearts content.
The Sanctuary Administration had a point - which they improperly addressed at first, but then corrected. Fatima had become the "Begging Center" of Portugal and whether it was needed or not, from May to October it was a non stop "Begathon". It was simply impossible to focus on the spiritual dimension of the visit - not to mention keeping an eye on purses, wallets and backpacks.
Therefore - we can visualize a similar situation becoming an issue in Assisi. Not knowing the matter first hand - we retract any overt or implied criticism of the action taken by the city officials until additional information reaches our hands.

I am referring you to a link (1) that leads to a website explaining the basic technology that will be used to create the illusion of the Second Coming.
It appears that the technology available today is far beyond one's ability to comprehend the complete and total control over the individual and collective population, a control that ONLY Jesus Christ can save us, as we cannot defend against what these diabolically possessed "powers that be" have in mind to use against the population of this planet.
For a more thorough description of the technologies being deployed against all humanity, another website (2) is most instructive.

2. The publication of the quoted book has forced our hand to speak about the so frequently invoked
Dead Sea Scrolls - statements which have been in our proverbial "ink well" for one year.
We have had quite an interest in reviewing the newly acclaimed "fountain of truth", yet did not
know where to find a reliable source. Providence led miguel to a book he did not know
existed. The book was at a used book store in Florida [God does all He can to reduce our
expenses...].
Its title: "The Dead Sea Scrolls - A New Translation" by Messrs. M. Wise, M., Abegg, Jr.
and E. Cook., Published by HarperSan Francisco. Copyright 1996, ISBN 0-0-069200-6 (cloth) and
0-0-069201-4 (pbk.)
The book reproduced all the texts from the Dead Sea Scrolls which had been
translated as far as that year.
miguel literally "plowed" through such gift from Heaven to confirm what he already new
"otherwise": IT DOES NOT, in any way, invalidate ANYTHING that we may find in a reasonable
translation the Old and New Testaments. What may appear different is so "off-the-wall" that it
falls to nearest land fill, so to speak, by its own dead weight. In actuality, the contents of the
Dead Sea Scrolls reinforces many key items found in the Old and New Testament.
You know that we do not deny that there is other valid information outside (but complementary) of
the Holy Scriptures (b), but we assure you that you can dispose of ANY claim which,
invoking the Dead Sea Scrolls, invalidate the underpinnings of Monotheistic Faith.
We ask you to share this information with as many individuals that you can reach and we encourage
the serious students of the Word of God to locate the referenced book on the Dead Sea Scrolls and
review it. Grant it - it is "heavy reading", and, at times, plain boring, but for the
serious students of the Word of God it may be well worth the effort.
Now, we will see, how long after this communication hits the "air waves" we start
hearing about "new and revealing translations" of the Dead Sea Scrolls.... (with the intent to
invalidate what we have written above) - Thanks be to God we are used to that by now!
