From miguel de Portugal @ EU * USA - Published on June 30th, 2008  [First Martyrs of the Church of Rome]

We received a letter from a collaborator whose sincerity, honesty and assistance we value greatly. He had a very valid question which - in edited form - we reproduce below:

If I think that I can help you and your mission more - Is it safe, in Eternity terms, to step aside from the "world" i.e. - staying a good worker, a good husband, etc. but at the same time redirect all effort (free time I had and time I spend on personal projects) in preparations to what is to come by prayer plus more time spent on what I have been doing to assist you (m de P) up to now and related work?

This is what we answered him - straight from the heart:

Here is what we suggest that you do...

It is easier to a devoted, but normal (1), human being to function in the world, thus  "...staying a good worker, good husband etc.", while focusing on what is to come and the preparation required, if deadlines are set.  For example - you can say to yourself and to your wife:

"I will place all effort (free time I have and time I spend on personal projects) in preparation for what is to come by prayer as well as more time spent in helping  m de P with what I have been doing up to now plus related work, while staying a good worker, good husband etc. under the following conditions:

If within 18 months from today the world is not in the obvious grip of a global apocalyptic type crisis of the natures that have been announced, I will change priorities and greatly de-emphasize the amount of  time spent in helping  m de P with what I have been doing up to now, plus related work. and take more time for relaxation and personal projects.

Psychologically, that covenant with yourself will give you a measure of comfort, and a reassurance to those who are not "inside your head" - those who cannot see what you can see - that if what you are seeing now does not materialize there is an "end point" in sight and not one of those "never ending projects".

We feel that this is just and fair for all who are part of your life-orbit.

May those who have Eyes, See and Ears, Hear....

I will like to add a few comments as a result of your posting on Archbishop Burke's promotion to Rome as published on the Did You Know That....? page dated June 28th.

Starting here, with this post from Amy Welbon's blog (1) today:

---------------------------

St. Louis Catholics  - well, many of them - will be saddened to know that Archbishop Burke is leaving them. As rumored, he has been named Prefect of the  Supreme Tribunal of Apostolic Signatura.

More from John Allen (author of the very pro Opus Dei book):

The appointment puts Burke, who turns 60 on June 30, in line to become a cardinal.

Burke is expected to relocate to Rome in August to take up his new duties.

The nomination comes as little surprise to church-watchers, who have long speculated that Burke might return to Rome at some point.Burke received a doctorate in canon law from Rome’s Gregorian University in 1984, and from 1989 to 1994 he served as the Defender of the Bond in the Apostolic Signatura, a position equivalent to the top defense attorney in the Vatican’s legal system.

In July 2006, Benedict XVI named Burke a member of the Apostolic Signatura, a move that some observers at the time interpreted as grooming him to eventually take over the top spot on the court.

In the Vatican, there are three courts: the Roman Rota, which is an appeals court that deals largely with cases involving requests for annulment of a marriage; the Apostolic Signatura, more or less the “Supreme Court” of the church; and the Apostolic Penitentiary, which handles cases involving the “internal forum,” meaning especially delicate matters that can’t be resolved through the normal legal process.

In Catholic circles, Burke has long been considered one of the most precise legal minds at the senior levels of the church, with an encyclopedic knowledge of the Code of Canon Law, the legal system of the Catholic church, as well as the tradition of case law stemming from that code.

    snip

Generally speaking, the following sorts of cases are heard by the Signatura:

    • Conflicts between two Vatican offices;
    • Appeals against decisions by diocesan bishops and Vatican offices;
    • Appeals against decisions by the Roman Rota.

Two other Americans are members of the Apostolic Signatura: Cardinal Edward Egan (2) of N. Y., and Bishop Thomas Doran of Rockford, IL.

---------------------------

Summarizing... the way I see it....

1. Burke, the Excommunicator Par Excellence, is to be the "Chief Justice" of the Roman Catholic Church's "Supreme Court."
2. He swiftly and severely he punished a St. Louis nun, Sr. Louise Lears, who participated in the "ordination" of women as "priests." Compare this with the slow process often used for pedo-priests.  By the track record of the Roman Catholic Church, it has to be the case that they see open challenges to Church authority as a more severe crime than pederasty.
3. Note the other Americans on the "Supreme Court": Cardinal Egan (2) and Bishop Doran (3).

So there you have it: Burke, Egan, and Doran on the Roman Catholic Church's "Supreme Court," with Burke as "Chief Justice."  Levada (4) runs the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, and Law (5) runs the Cathedral of St. Mary Major.

Never let it be said that the Vatican is anti-American, or that it does not believe in affirmative action.  It clearly has a quota program in place for the oppressed minority group, the Evil-American members of the Hierarchy.

I see... "Recreate 68 - Mass protests planned at DNC starting 8/24" (1)

Members of a right-wing forum that I monitor claim that lots of well-known militants and gangsters will be out in force, ready to do violence.  They might be right ... certainly, the home site reminds me exactly of what I saw from 1968-1971.

The stupidity of this is overwhelming.

1. As you have said, anarchy and lawlessness are no answer to tyranny and war.
2. Even aside from point (1), why riot against the Democrats rather than the Republicans?  Maybe the protesters think that the Republicans would give them the Kent State treatment ...
3. Just as a matter of history: it may be that the violence and chaos in 1968 in Chicago helped Nixon win the election.  People could see leftist youth rioting in a Democratic city, and getting some support from leftist politicians and intellectuals ... and decided to vote for law and order, Nixon-style.  Chicago 1968 did not move the moderates to the left; it made the leftists more radical and the rightists angrier and more repressive. And it turns out that some of the same people who came to power with Nixon in 1968 are STILL in power.

I would call "Recreate 68" one of the following:

1. An attempt by today's leftist youth to re-live the glory of 40 years ago, just as those of us who were radicals in the late 1960s and 1970s thought we could re-run the 1930s, with some improvements.
2. A covert op by the Republicans and the fascists.  Make people (again) associate Democrats, blacks, liberals, and peace people with rioters and chaos ... so that they all vote for McCain despite $10+/gallon gas, Dow 7000, 10% unemployment, etc.
3. A clever police/Homeland Security idea: gather all the nation's militants in one spot, get a riot started, and scoop them all up ... the first inhabitants of the Halliburton camps.

The Sixties ... been there, done that, got the T-shirt before.  No need to do it again, ever.

In view of your recent mailing (1) regarding the cell phone safety or lack thereof,  I felt moved to share the following with The M+G+R Foundation Family.

CELL PHONE vs. BIBLE

I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bibles like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think 'Where are my priorities?'

No dropped calls and unlimited in-network calling!

News Quote:

Mobile phone safety problems
June 18, 2008

Summary

The microwave radiation from mobile phones have harmful effects at intensity levels far below the official safety threshold values . This is confirmed by a considerable body of evidence.

The radiation of the mobile phones is adapted to these far to high threshold values.

This means that your mobile phone radiation is strong enough to exert harmful influences on your brain and other tissues even at normal usage.

Accumulating evidence indicate that microwave radiation from mobile phones may cause serious diseases and disturbances in the physiology. This includes genetic damage leading to an increased cancer risk, especially brain tumors, disturbed brain function and other health disturbances.

Conclusion

The M+G+R Foundation Comments:

Option (a): Information will be summarily ignored as the consequences of global warming have (2) . There is so much money riding on this plus related technology (like wireless computer service, etc.) that hell will freeze over before the information becomes as common knowledge as "Smoking Kills".... unless, of course....

Option (b):  When instant continuous and worldwide communication becomes a threat to the "World Masters", then, for the "security and benefit of all", they will be banned with certain exceptions.

As you can see, satan has every single base covered and only the Holy Spirit of God can help us navigate through these stormy and polluted - in all imaginable ways - waters.

Why are we delving and sharing this kind of  information instead of focusing on the spiritual area more?

Quite simple: The faster the faithful understands that there is no way out from the hell-mess the world is in now but through God, and that God is made part of our lives only  through intense prayer and communion with Him - not the usual sped through rosary or hastily prayed Our Father - the less the Elect will have to suffer as we navigate through the End of These Times.

From JM @ USA - Published on June 24th, 2008  [Birth of John the Baptizer]

I did a search on American Catholic's website (1) for "reserved hosts" and one of the hits included this reference. It seems to illustrate, again, that  hosts used at a particular Mass should be transubstantiated at that Mass. Practice in many parishes however seems to find  eucharistic ministers reaching again and again for pre-consecrated hosts in ciboria  placed in the tabernacle for just such "exigencies."

2)   Bread Blessed at the Same Mass

This has been a constant exhortation of every Eucharistic instruction since Pius XII's Mediator Dei in 1947. It stands to reason that if the Eucharist is a meal as well as a sacrifice, then the food we eat should be present to us on the table from the beginning of Mass. Ordinarily, it should not be the consecrated bread reserved in the tabernacle far communicating the sick and the dying and for Eucharistic worship apart from Mass.

A little planning and forethought regarding the number of communicants can normally assure enough bread consecrated for each celebration of Mass.

Greetings in Christ to you all:

As I have mentioned in an earlier note some time ago, I have a profoundly retarded child who has lived in frequent seizures for nearly his entire life of now thirty eight years and has been in full time nursing care for the last twenty five. While his mental retardation has been profound his physical abilities have been reasonably normal. He can walk and has had good overall health excepting the complications from the diagnosis of Tuberous Sclerosis...

Recently,  he was checked and found to have elevated levels of cholesterol for which the physician prescribed lipitor two months ago. He was admitted to the special care clinic of a local hospital last Wednesday and his mental abilities have significantly diminished from what they had been before- I suspect acute side effects from the lipitor but other diagnoses are still in play.

The pain of a father who has lived his son's lifetime suffering in my way as M has suffered in his way has taught me beautiful lessons. I feel myself walking the Via Dolorossa (1) with my Savior experiencing the horror, the regrets , the sorrows  but realizing that Triumph waits at the end of this "Road Of Sorrow".

When I told my wife how much I felt M's pain and my own I told her that I imagined myself pouring that pain into the Vessel that is Jesus and mixing my pain with His...I told her that my pain is deeper because of His Pain through me but I also felt a sweetness in the sadness I could not quite describe...something of a quality that tells me that the tears will be turned to smiles and that they already have been for believing in Him...

...there is nothing more I can add... (2)

Christ be with you always!

"Parishioners at the church on Mamaroneck Avenue were devastated in late March when they learned (Fr.) Dunne - their pastor since 1991 - had a serious gambling habit and was the subject of a criminal investigation. He had been removed from the parish two months earlier and sent to a retreat for counseling..." (1)

Translation: he was bundled off to Trinity Retreat in Larchmont, NY, in the care of Fr. Benedict Groeschel.

"The money that was stolen had been donated by parishioners to various fundraising efforts by the church: the building fund, a collection for Katrina victims and the weekly offering used for general church expenses. It also was taken from an account that had been set up to pay clergy members who came to the church to deliver Mass.... Dunne would write and endorse checks to himself and to "cash," authorities said. According to the criminal complaint, he "failed to provide an accurate accounting to church officials and deliberately concealed the books and records relating to the parish development account."

From observation, this is an old trick - to use the parish Stipend checking account as a slush fund.... as is the indicated check writing; this is descriptive of a wide-spread series of "creative accounting" practices which are learned by certain younger priests from their mentors. Dunne is far from being an isolated case - in NYC or elsewhere. There have been almost as many publicly reported cases of priestly embezzlement in NYC since 2000 as cases of sex abuse.

"...... The District Attorney's Office said the money was stolen over a six-year period beginning in 2002 and that Dunne used the money for personal expenses and recreation. His lawyer, Richard Ferrante, said: .There's more to this than has been reported," said Ferrante, himself a parishioner of the church. "Evidence will come to show he wasn't doing this for personal gain."

An interesting dichotomy..... tell me: Since when is gambling "not for personal gain"??????

"This is obviously a sad day for the parish and the whole archdiocese," said Joseph Zwilling, a spokesman for the archdiocese. "We ask that people please remember Father Dunne in their prayers."

Note that the NYC equivalent of Navarro-Valls (2)  makes no effort to apologize on behalf of Cardinal Egan  (3)  to the parishioners (who are NOT necessarily wealthy in that area!) for being fleeced.

This all becomes quite amusing in light of Egan's recent rash of parish closings due to "lack of money".

"During that time, the church got a new rectory and parish center hall as part of a multimillion-dollar expansion for which parishioners contributed nearly $3 million. Ferrante said he was unaware of the exact total his client is accused of taking but that a prosecutor indicated that it was at least $300,000. Zwilling said it was still unknown exactly how much was missing from the parish."

Well of course "it is still unknown", because Fr. cooked the books and very likely the total amount received in offerings & gifts was intentionally underreported to both parish & Chancery.

But, to quote a new pastor in the NYC area: "We really have to get the people into TITHING"

You remain in my daily prayers.

While I had heard of sketchy plans for data back-up for the NYC Financial sector, as far as I knew they were just "talk". First in New Jersey, and then some vague rumors about northeastern PA. Well, now it seems that it is reality, and "business parks" are being built. (1)

What I find interesting is the distance from NYC - about 100 miles - which is what would be considered beyond the "blast range" for a conventional nuclear warhead strike. Or a meteor or Tsunami/tidal wave - all largely behind the mountain range(s) which are on the PA side of the NY/NJ/PA border at the Delaware River.

Timing, as they say, is everything. And I think they expect something or several things. Of course as we know computers and any sort of large scale data back-up requires electricity. The region does not get its power (normally) from the NY/NYC power grid, as far as I know. On the other hand, this tends to imply some sort of isolated private generating capability. While I cannot find factual evidence of that, one would tend to suspect this. Otherwise the whole thing would be as insane as building a modern hospital without back-up conventional generators, water filtering ability, etc. A key word (found under "financial services advantage" at top of page) is: Disaster Recovery/Co-location facilities.

The one thing which they - and local govt. and business interests - are NOT counting on - as usual - is God.

Dear Miguel -

May Almighty God forgive me if I am wrong here................

On Saturday 5/31, Cardinal Francis George of Chicago blessed in the context of a Solemn High Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church a nine foot high monstrance, which you can see on the home page of this link (1). The entire image, including the "adoring angels" is all part of it.

Honestly, I was as horrified when I saw this on EWTN as when I saw Ratzinger presented to the world as the "new pope" IN April of 05 - which God caused me to see as "FAKE!!!"........which word was nearly "shouted to me", spiritually. With this Monstrance.........I recoiled in utter horror, and the thought of "pagan/demonic idol" came to me.

I wish I was imagining this........or just radically misinterpreting what I see. But let me point out a few details:

1. When have you ever seen "Mary" portrayed wearing red?
2. Where are her feet? From what I understand, an image or vision of "Mary" with no feet, is supposed to be one sign of a demonic counterfeit.
3. Over her forehead, on the red veil, is an 8 pointed cross - which reminds on of the Knights of Malta (and can in some instances have occult connotations).
4. Around her head (hard to see here) is an abstract representation of 12 stars. You have seen the "moon under her feet" in countless statues to be sure, but the alleged representation here is somewhere between a weapon (scythe or scimitar), and an occult crescent moon. EWTN claims that the portrayal is "taken from the book of Revelations".
5. While EWTN describes "Mary's" face as being "iconic", it is frightening. It is cold and the eyes seem to "follow you".
6. Her disembodied/floating "torso" is upon/over the Ark of the Covenant, which has symbolic representations of the staff of Aaron, manna, and the tablets of the law.
7. The golden disk over her chest is where the luna containing a host would go. The shield which is displayed there (replaced with clear glass for exposition) shows "CHrist" portrayed as a child, and boy, and a man. That description was given aurally on EWTN. When I looked at it on tv, it appeared to show all of those manifestations in sequence.........can't really explain it!

The pastor of the parish alleges that "Mary told him" to do this (2), and to build a sanctuary for it - for which they are raising millions of dollars. This sanctuary will be next to the church building, and open 24/7 for "adoration". This project has the 100% enthusiastic backing of Cardinal George.

If this was just some bizarre work of modern art, I would ignore it. The funny thing was that I channel surfed past EWTN & saw the mass begin with Cardinal George. I was curious & couldn't figure out where this was happening (at first) or what it was about. So I shrugged it off, and tried to find a movie or comedy to watch. Somehow I kept "accidentally" pushing the button on the remote to get back to EWTN..........I have to assume that God wanted me to watch this. So I did......and when they parted a curtain to reveal this "Monstrance" (which was set up before the high altar behind a closed curtain)........I was horrified & froze.

All through the mass was a constant stream of psycho babble from EWTN commentators........during EVERYTHING except George's sermon. It was brainwashing, explaining how wonderful the "monstrance" is, it symbolism, how worthy this is of praise.................from Catholic, Jewish, and Orthodox commentators.

God help us all!

From Paul of Tarsus @ Corinth - Published on
May 31st, 2008 [Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary plus the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

I charge thee, before God and Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead, by his coming, and his kingdom: Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine. For there shall be a time, when they will not endure sound doctrine; but, according to their own desires, they will heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears: And will indeed turn away their hearing from the truth, but will be turned unto fables.  But be thou vigilant, labour in all things, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill thy ministry. Be sober.

For I am even now ready to be sacrificed: and the time of my dissolution is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. As to the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of justice, which the Lord the just judge will render to me in that day: and not only to me, but to them also that love his coming.
