Anonymous transmits stolen e-mail to WikiLeaks. (1)

WikiLeaks announced on Sunday that it would release reams of e-mail correspondence from Stratfor, a geopolitical analysis firm, detailing the work of the company for clients, Somini Sengupta reports in The New York Times on Monday. WikiLeaks did not disclose how it obtained the e-mails, but Stratfor acknowledged in December that its data servers were breached by a group of hackers known as Anonymous, a loose-knit group that publicly supports WikiLeaks.

A WikiLeaks news release said the messages "reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations." Stratfor released a statement that said the e-mail released by WikiLeaks might have been altered and condemned the "deplorable, unfortunate - and illegal - breach of privacy."

Pressure builds for civilian drone flights in the US. (1)

Civilian cousins of the unmanned military aircraft that have tracked and killed terrorists in the Middle East and Asia are in demand by police departments, border patrols, power companies, news organizations and others wanting a bird's-eye view that's too impractical or dangerous for conventional planes or helicopters to get.

Along with the enthusiasm, there are qualms.

Drones overhead could invade people's privacy. The government worries they could collide with passenger planes or come crashing down to the ground, concerns that have slowed more widespread adoption of the technology.

Despite that, pressure is building to give drones the same access as manned aircraft to the sky at home.

"It's going to be the next big revolution in aviation. It's coming," says Dan Elwell, the Aerospace Industries Association's vice president for civil aviation.

Santorum says he doesn't believe in separation of church and state. (1)

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum said Sunday that he doesn't believe in the separation of church and state, adding that he was sickened by John F. Kennedy's assurances to Baptist ministers 52 years ago that he would not impose his Catholic faith on them.

"I don't believe in an America where the separation of church and state is absolute," Santorum, a devout Catholic, said in an interview from Michigan on ABC's "This Week."

"The First Amendment means the free exercise of religion and that means bringing people and their faith into the public square."

Santorum's latest foray into the hot-button, faith-based issues that so fire up the party's evangelical base comes as his chief rival for the Republican nomination, Mitt Romney, begins to pull ahead slightly in the state of Michigan, where he was born and raised.

miguel de Portugal comments: One thing we can say about Mr. Santorum: He is open enough about where he stands. Should God allow him to make it to the Oval Office, God "will not listen to any complaints". Read: All pleas for relief will be ignored regardless of the consequences to humanity at large.

Humanity always gets what it deserves. Remember World War II? (2)

A state judge in Pennsylvania threw out an assault case involving a Muslim attacking an atheist for insulting the Prophet Muhammad. (1)

Judge Mark Martin, an Iraq war veteran and a convert to Islam, threw the case out in what appears to be an invocation of Sharia law.

The incident occurred at the Mechanicsburg, Pa., Halloween parade where Ernie Perce, an atheist activist, marched as a zombie Muhammad. Talaag Elbayomy, a Muslim, attacked Perce, and he was arrested by police.

Judge Martin threw the case out on the grounds that Elbayomy was obligated to attack Perce because of his culture and religion. Judge Martin stated that the First Amendment of the Constitution does not permit people to provoke other people. He also called Perce, the plaintiff in the case, a "doofus."

In effect, Perce was the perpetrator of the assault, in Judge Martin's view, and Elbayomy the innocent. The Sharia law that the Muslim attacker followed trumped the First Amendment.

Could a gamma ray burst eradicate all life on Earth? (1)

Ever since they were discovered accidentally in the 1960s, gamma ray bursts (GRBs) have continued to amaze and puzzle astronomers worldwide. In nearly 50 years of research there seem to have been more theories trying to explain GRBs then there have been actual GRBs.

So just what are GRBs? Where do they come from? And what would happen if one occurred in our cosmic backyard?

GRBs were first detected by US military satellites in the 1960s and were initially thought to be violations of a treaty that was created to prevent the testing of nuclear devices in space – the Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.

...

Introducing WR 104 - a massive star located within our galaxy some 8,000 light years from Earth. Sydney University astronomer Peter Tuthill discovered that this star is near the end of its life, and will one day explode as a "hypernova", then collapse to form a black hole.

WR 104 is rotating with its poles roughly in line with Earth, so if the collapsing star happened to produce a GRB, its jet and beam would be pointing toward Earth. When will this occur? Maybe tomorrow, maybe thousands of years from now. (2)

So what if a GRB happened in our galaxy and one of the beams happened to be pointing at Earth?

Quite simply, the effects could be devastating for life. According to a paper written by US astronomer Brian C. Thomas, the ozone layer would be severely depleted, resulting in catastrophic exposure to UV radiation that would cause significant DNA mutations.

miguel de Portugal comments: At least they are beginning to think about that reality. The article is well written and has some good images.

News Report No. 2
[our highlights]

One week from today, March 1, Google's much-criticized unified privacy policy will go into effect. While there is a great deal of debate over how much (or how little) the new privacy policy will affect users, it's clear that people are concerned about the search giant's increasingly thick folders of personal data it stores on each of us. What the policy most certainly does do, however, is makes it so the information Google has is more easily shared across its various services. (1)

One area this is most clear is with search. Our search histories can reveal a lot about us: what we like or dislike, our religion, political leanings, sexual preferences, age, and even health information. As it stands today, all that data collected through searches performed while logged into your Google account has been kept separate from the troves of other data the company has in its coffers. That will all change come next Thursday. Unless, of course, you delete all of it. And here's how you can do that in less than a minute:

+ First, go to google.com/history. There, you'll be asked to sign into your Google account.

+ Second, click the "Remove all Web History" button. And that's it! You're done. Not only is all your search data removed from Google's grasps, but doing this automatically pauses Web History, meaning no more information will be collected until you click the blue "Resume" button at the top of the page.

miguel de Portugal comments: Do note that Google had a record of every single search you had done using their system. Most of us have nothing to hide but such information can be twisted into whatever form may be necessary to cause any one of us harm, should it fall in the wrong hands.

Oh, by the way... After we reproduced the news report above, we proceeded to remove quite a bit of hidden coding that obviously Yahoo or Digital Trends had placed in the news text to see "who was doing what". You may now safely proceed to remove your history from Google and only you and Google will know.

Russian Church: Global war almost inescapable. (1)

The current global contradictions could deteriorate into a global war sooner or later, the Moscow Patriarchate said.

"There are many processes ongoing in the world in which Russia should play a much more active role, since the economic and social contradictions that have cropped up in the world are so strong that they are sure to blow up into serious military operations," head of the Synodal Department for Church and Society Relations Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin said in an interview with the Svobodnaya Pressa (Free Press) Publishing House.

"In order to ensure that these military operations not unfold in our territory or in the vicinity of our borders, we need to keep our armed forces combat ready and to participate in settling all situations that may lead to a war, be it the Middle East or Central Asia where the situation is also tense," he said.

"By all accounts, we will not manage to escape a big war," he said.

Father Vsevolod also said that the development track of the civilization may lead to the annihilation of cities.

Comments: If the Russian Church is giving military advice to the government, it would seem that the Russians have adopted their own version of the Throne/Altar alliance, now as it was under the Czars.

Sex-changing treatment for kids is on the rise. (1)

A small but growing number of teens and even younger children who think they were born the wrong sex are getting support from parents and from doctors who give them sex-changing treatments, according to reports in the medical journal Pediatrics. It's an issue that raises ethical questions, and some experts urge caution in treating children with puberty-blocking drugs and hormones.

An 8-year-old second-grader in Los Angeles is a typical patient. Born a girl, the child announced at 18 months, "I a boy" and has stuck with that belief. The family was shocked but now refers to the child as a boy and is watching for the first signs of puberty to begin treatment, his mother told The Associated Press.

Pediatricians need to know these kids exist and deserve treatment, said Dr. Norman Spack, author of one of three reports published Monday and director of one of the nation's first gender identity medical clinics, at Children's Hospital Boston. "If you open the doors, these are the kids who come. They're out there. They're in your practices," Spack said in an interview.

Switching gender roles and occasionally pretending to be the opposite sex is common in young children. But these kids are different. They feel certain they were born with the wrong bodies. Some are labeled with "gender identity disorder," a psychiatric diagnosis. But Spack is among doctors who think that's a misnomer. Emerging research suggests they may have brain differences more similar to the opposite sex.

Arizona sheriff facing long odds after gay outing. (1)

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu built a reputation as a rising, conservative star by taking a hardline stance against illegal immigration, attacking the Obama administration and appearing alongside Sen. John McCain in a 2010 re-election ad in which McCain urged federal officials to just "complete the danged fence."

But, on Saturday, Babeu's conservative image took a beating as he was forced to confirm publicly that he is gay and was involved in a relationship with a Mexican immigrant who claims the sheriff threatened to have him deported if he revealed their relationship.

Babeu denies any wrongdoing, and has vowed to continue his battle for the GOP nomination in an extremely conservative rural congressional district. He recognizes he is fighting an uphill battle, especially in a state where family values, as defined by a large evangelical Christian and Mormon population, often battle fierce, anti-immigrant beliefs to define conservatism.

miguel de Portugal comments: We presume that Dr. Norman Spack (see News Report No. 1 above) will soon say that if Sheriff Babeu's gender had been changed when he was a child, this would have never happened.

We are certainly not mocking the very difficult situation Sheriff Babeu finds himself in, we are mocking the scientific community who insists in playing God.

A 73-year-old Benedictine nun is planning to attend the Oscars next Sunday. (1)

She will be a lot more covered up than she was the last time she went to the ceremony - in 1959, as a presenter and a gorgeous starlet who had given a blushing Elvis his first screen kiss.

Grace Kelly deserted Hollywood at 26 to become the bride of a prince. Hart, dubbed "the next Grace Kelly," deserted Hollywood at 24 to become a bride of Christ. That stunning spiritual elopement is the subject of an Oscar-nominated documentary called "God Is Bigger Than Elvis," a rare look behind the walls of the cloistered abbey in rural Connecticut where Hart has lived for half a century. (It will be shown on HBO in April.)

"God was the vehicle," she said of her odyssey. "He was the bigger Elvis."

Nuns in America are a dying breed, and the church’s antediluvian male hierarchy gets more worked up about allowing Catholic women contraceptives than investigating sexual abuse of children by priests.

But Hart soldiers on at the bucolic Abbey of Regina Laudis, a Benedictine monastery and working farm in Bethlehem, Conn., which observes three periods of silence a day. She is a mother prioress and spiritual guide to 38 other nuns (and she is the only nun who is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences).

miguel de Portugal comments: How refreshing!

Just as priestly celibacy is possible when one's heart is where it should be, being a true Bride of Christ can also be a reality.

May God be Thrice Glorified!

and now back to the ugly reality which seems to permeate the world through and through...

From (Mr.) WO @ US

In an early AM interview aired on CBS from Rome in preparation for the Consistory, a reporter was speaking with John Allen (who is OD-phile).

Allen was positing Archbishop Dolan as a potential 'first American pope'; touting his virtues as a Public Relations man. He also referenced the current cloud hanging over the Vatican due to the "bad news in the press" (translation: sex abuse and money scandals). And the "assassination plot against the pope". (1)(2)

Have you heard anything about such a plot?

Or is this just disinformation, crafted to create sympathy for Ratzinger? Like the subtle rumor that "his health is failing" (yet he seems fine...). Or that he may die soon; hence the need for a conclave in the near future (another rumor in spin).

If it is not mere 'smoke and mirrors', then it could be an intentional leak. Perhaps with a new version of 'Sirhan Sirhan' waiting in the wings to do the deed. Either as a patsy or a Manchurian candidate.

This could certainly light the match for a planned persecution of (insert name of group here), and make an instant martyr of Ratzinger.

It would also neatly fulfill the prophecy of St. Malachi (Peter the Roman). I would not be surprised if they were to attempt this stunt, either way.

The source of this 'rumor' is far too highly placed for this to be just... "random". (3)

From (Dr.) IW @ US

In reference to your post dated February 18th regarding "Deadly bird flu studies to stay secret for now."

Of course you are correct about the merchants of death and their intent to misuse the sequence information on H5N1 that can spread between mammals.

But it's really unbelievable that Bruce Alberts wanted to publish it. He is one of the pillars of the research community, and every student since before my time knows him as the editor of the standard cell biology textbook.

Here's the issue: I was a graduate student, working on adenovirus (some versions cause cold, others can cause cancer in rodents, not humans) until 1992. I changed fields after that.

With the techniques available at the time, if I had those sequences available to me, I would have had no real difficulty synthesizing DNAs that I could then insert into cells, which would make copies of viral RNA.

With one or two additional elements, which I knew about then, but will leave out on the minuscule chance that someone who wants to do it doesn't know how, I could have produced the virus in its entirety. There must be tens of thousands of people out there with my training, or more modern versions of it. It would be so simple that a student in a large lab would be able to do it without the principal investigator's knowledge.

It is sheer insanity to publish those sequences.

IW

A. Thank you very much for an expert testimonial showing that the situation is even more serious that it appears on the surface.

As we continue to remind one and all: May this be yet another reminder that our safety is ONLY in the Hands of God. and Let us continue to pray.

Brethren, the time is up and that is all we can do..., second only to striving to live His Word with every breath we take.

FBI seeks social media monitoring too. (1)

The FBI issues a Request for Information (RFI) for tool that can use social network data to identify, assess potential threats to U.S. In a move that's unlikely to sit well with privacy advocates, the FBI has begun scouting for a tool that will allow it to gather and mine data from social networks like Facebook, Twitter and blogs.

The goal is to use the tool to keep on top of breaking events, incidents and emerging threats, the agency said in the recent RFI from IT vendors. The FBI said it's seeking a "secure, lightweight web application portal using mashup technology."

According to the RFI document, "The application must have the ability to rapidly assemble critical open source information and intelligence that will allow the FBI's Strategic Information and Operations Center to quickly vet, identity and geo-locate" potential threats to the U.S.

Deadly bird flu studies to stay secret for now. (1)

Two studies showing how scientists mutated the H5N1 bird flu virus into a form that could cause a deadly human pandemic will be published only after experts fully assess the risks, the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Friday.

Speaking after a high-level meeting of flu experts and U.S. security officials in Geneva, a WHO spokesman said an agreement had been reached in principle to keep details of the controversial work secret until deeper risk analyses have been carried out.

The WHO called the meeting to break a deadlock between scientists who have studied the mutations needed to make H5N1 bird flu transmit between mammals, and the U.S. National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity (NSABB), which wanted the work censored before it was published in scientific journals.

Iran continues to provoke the Western Powers.

Iran has staged an elaborate ceremony to unveil new developments in its nuclear programme. (1)

Tehran says it has used domestically-made nuclear fuel in a reactor for the first time, and also unveiled more efficient enrichment centrifuges. State TV showed President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad inspecting the rods as they were loaded into a reactor.

Western countries fear Iran wants to make nuclear weapons; Tehran says it only wants to produce its own energy.

A long-time heavy metal rocker, a former Jehovah Witness, a self-described born-again Christian and who is now a Republican, has endorsed the candidacy of Rick Santorum.

Megadeth singer, Dave Mustaine, supports Republican Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum.

Never one to hold back his opinions, Dave Mustaine has once again spoken out about the upcoming presidential election, telling Music Radar that he's pulling for Republican hopeful Rick Santorum.

The Megadeth singer and guitarist says he was "oblivious" to the candidate until recently, when he was impressed by the former Pennsylvania senator's decision to cancel campaign events and visit his sick 3-year-old daughter in the hospital.

"You know, I think Santorum has some presidential qualities, and I'm hoping that if it does come down to it, we'll see a Republican in the White House ... and that it's Rick Santorum," Mustaine said. (1)

News Report No. 1

As a Catholic TV station becomes increasingly popular around the world, church officials are trying to tell the public that the media outlet is not the voice of Catholicism. (1)

In two public statements, the Archdiocese of Detroit has taken the unusual step of publicly criticizing Real Catholic TV, saying "that it does not have the authorization required under church law to identify or promote itself as Catholic."

The dispute comes as the TV station, which operates mainly over the Internet, has exploded in popularity since it started in 2008. Its videos attract 10 million views on YouTube and its public face, Michael Voris, has become a well-known, aggressive global advocate for conservative Catholics.

"The only way to prevent a democracy from committing suicide is to limit the vote to faithful Catholics," Voris said on a show that stoked controversy.

Today, the never-married 50-year-old is consumed by his passion to promote what he considers the one true faith. Working up to 18 hours a day, seven days a week, Voris is on a burning mission to save Catholicism and America by trying to warn the public about what he sees as a decline of morality in society.

But it's a vision that has rubbed some the wrong way. His critics said his remarks, at times, promote division and extremism. Catholic officials from Pennsylvania to Spain to Detroit have warned people that he doesn't speak for the Catholic church.

In one of his more controversial videos, Voris said:

"The only way to run a country is by benevolent dictatorship, a Catholic monarch who protects his people from themselves and bestows on them what they need, not necessarily what they want."

Last April, the diocese in Scranton, Pa., banned him from speaking in its facilities after it received complaints about his comments on other faiths.

Money laundering at the Vatican bank. Corruption in the awarding of Vatican contracts. Even a purported plot to kill Pope Benedict XVI. (1)

The Vatican is being besieged by near-daily leaks of confidential documents and tabloid-style reports of alleged financial mismanagement, political infighting and gossip about who might be the next pope - all coming out at an exceedingly delicate time for the Holy See and Benedict himself.

The flurry of articles and television news programs seemingly seeking to reinforce that reputation - regardless of whether it's deserved - certainly can't help the Holy See's bid.

The media campaign kicked off last month with the publication on television news program "The Untouchables" of leaked letters from the former No. 2 in the Vatican city state administration, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, to Benedict and Bertone in 2011. In one, Vigano begged not to be transferred after exposing what he said was corruption in the awarding of Vatican contracts. Vigano was subsequently named the Vatican's ambassador to Washington.

Almost lost in all the noise was a victory that the Holy See scored for the IOR in the United States on Feb. 1: A federal judge in Mississippi dismissed with prejudice a fraud and racketeering lawsuit against the Holy See filed in 2002 by the insurance commissioners of five southern states alleging Vatican involvement in jailed financier Martin Frankel's scheme to buy and loot insurance companies of some $200 million.

miguel de Portugal comments: The whole article is quite interesting but we recommend that you wear your virtual breathing mask otherwise you would choke on the amount of smoke coming out of the Vatican, with the help of an all-too-cooperative scandal loving press.

We have just chosen two random issues just to give you an idea.

(a) The "begging" Vigano.

Anyone who believes that Vigano was punished for being "a bad, bad boy", that person does not fully understand what is really going on in the Vatican and in the geopolitical stage. How could the Opus Dei soaked through Vatican allow "a bad, bad boy" to be the Nuncio (the Vatican Ambassador) to the US, a country in which the majority of its Supreme Court is in Opus Dei hands, which has had the CIA and FBI in the hands of the Opus Dei for years, and now has a declared Opus Dei man (Santorum) as a potential candidate to the White House and a closet Opus Dei man (Ginrich) as a back up potential candidate to the White House in case Santorum "gets a flat tier" in the run?

On the contrary, Vigano must be the expert enabler to ensure that either Santorum or Ginrich make it to the White House.

(b) The dismissal of the suit against the Holy See in relation to the Frankel's scheme.

Just because that one case was dismissed, does not mean that neither justice was done nor the Vatican was clear of culpability.

After all, President Kennedy was officially killed by one single bullet from one single man, wasn't he...?

Researchers announced the finding at a press conference on January 31, 2012. It’s based on data from NASA's IBEX spacecraft, which is able to sample material flowing into the solar system from interstellar space. (1)

"We've detected alien matter that came into our solar system from other parts of the galaxy - and, chemically speaking, it's not exactly like what we find here at home." says David McComas the principal investigator for IBEX at the Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas.

Our solar system is surrounded by the heliosphere, a magnetic bubble that separates us from the rest of the Milky Way. Outside the heliosphere lies the realm of the stars or “interstellar space”; inside lies the sun and all the planets. The sun blows this vast magnetic bubble using the solar wind to inflate the sun's own magnetic field. It’s a good thing: The heliosphere helps protect us from cosmic rays that would otherwise penetrate the solar system.

"We've directly measured four separate types of atoms from interstellar space and the composition just doesn't match up with what we see in the solar system," says Eric Christian, mission scientist for IBEX at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md.

miguel de Portugal comments: Much food for spiritual thought and discernment on the Creation of Man and its entire support system.

A change in the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO) patch logo has upset Republican lawmakers after a reference to God was removed. (1)

According to The Hill, the motto on the patch originally said "Opus Dei Cum Pecunia Alienum Efficemus" (Doing God's Work with Other People's Money), which is an inside joke among RCO members. The new logo instead says "Miraculi Cum Pecunia Alienum Efficemus" (Doing Miracles with Other People's Money).

A group of 36 lawmakers, led by Rep. Randy Forbes (R-Va.), wrote a letter to Air Force Secretary Michael Donley and Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz demanding the unit changes the logo back, restoring the reference to God.

According to the U.S. Air Force website, the RCO, located in Washington, D.C., responds to Combat Air Force and combatant command requirements. Their mission is to expedite development and fielding of Department of Defense weapon systems by leveraging defense-wide technology development efforts and existing operational capabilities.

Gorbachev, who called on Putin to step down as protests against his rule grew in December, said the powerful prime minister could face a sustained popular uprising against his rule similar to those seen in Arab capitals.

"He has exhausted himself," Gorbachev said during a lecture at a Moscow university on Thursday. "If he does not overcome himself, change the way things are –– and I think it will be difficult for him to do that – then everything will end up on city squares."

miguel de Portugal comments: It does seem that he now intends to make good his May 1995 statement of "My time has not come yet". (2) "My time" must be understood as (a) his ideology implemented by him personally; and/or (b) his ideology implemented by his followers.

An Update

In 1999 we published a document (1) in our Domain which questioned the alleged Cuban Missile Crisis. Over the years we have added comments strengthening such theory. Two days ago we modified said document by adding a Foreword and a new NOTE. For your convenience and information we are reproducing both below:

FOREWORD

Up to today, February 6th, 2012, we had every indication that such crisis was not real but a staged sham. Now we can ascertain and prove, without a shred of a doubt, that indeed the alleged crisis was a staged sham.

We must qualify this statement, however. A "sham" because the world never was at the edge of a nuclear war as every talking head in the world claim. Yes, missiles were in Cuba; yes, Khrushchev was doing this to use it as a bargain chip (but with no intent of starting a nuclear war); and, yes, President Kennedy knew with absolute certainty that he could push Khrushchev as far and as hard as he wished, so complete was the information possessed by the US command about the "goings and comings" of the leadership of the Soviet Empire.

A NOTE, added at the end of this document, dated February 6, 2012, will explain the details of such overwhelming confirmation.

NOTE Added on February 6, 2012

Providentially, we stumbled upon a book (6) which factually confirmed that the Missile Crisis was no more than a staged act. So far, we only had as concrete proof the article on Time magazine (2) which reported that the Emergency Command Center of the U.S., Mt. Weather, was not placed on alert as it should have been by those who were supposed to activate it were the crisis had been a real one.

In said book we "met" for the first time ever, Oleg Penkovsky, a top military Soviet intelligence officer.

Oleg Penkovsky went from a Russian World War II military hero, to becoming America's best human intelligence asset in the Soviet Union. He believed that Nikita Khrushchev's leadership was taking the Soviet Union onto the path of destruction.

Penkovsky was the highest level Soviet officer to ever spy for the United States or British Intelligence. The Penkovsky case is considered to have been the most successful Cold War espionage operation.

Penkovsky allowed the administrations of President Eisenhower and President Kennedy to bypass the bluster and rhetoric of Nikita Khrushchev, and to know the true facts concerning Soviet military preparedness. The files (7) indicate that Penkovsky's acts of espionage were able to accurately define for the United Sates the limitations of Soviet power. Through Penkovsky, the United States learned of the number of nuclear missiles the Soviets held and where, as well as their many technical difficulties.

Soviet GRU (military intelligence) documents, provided by Penkovsky to the U.S., exposed the friction among the Soviet high command over long term Soviet military strategy.

It turns out that President Kennedy and his top aides were absolutely sure, thanks to Penkovsky, that Khrushchev would not go into war for that or any other reason since they would lose the war "on the first round" The Soviets just did not have the nuclear capabilities to match those of the U.S.

This was known by the US top command since July 1962, although Kennedy acted out the drama on a televised statement on October 22.

Therefore, Kennedy was on very solid and secure ground when he issued his ultimatums to Khrushchev. He knew, because of Penkovsky, that Khrushchev's threats were hollow. No wonder the Emergency Command Center was not activated as we pointed out in 1992

As gesture of good will towards Khrushchev (to help Khrushchev save face and give this monumental sham some respectability) Kennedy agreed to remove the US missiles from Turkey. Why not? after all, the U.S. could still pulverize the Soviet Union without the missiles in Turkey.

Kennedy also promised, in "exchange" to keep his hands off Cuba which, of course, has been used as the excuse as to why the U.S. has never booted the Castro brothers and their pathetic revolution from Cuba.

Key quotations from pg. 36:
Only the facility (Mt. Weather) go on full alert - on Nov. 9, 1965, when a power failure darkened much of the Northeast. Bourassa (first head of Mt. Weather and its reliability) says he feared at the time that it was the result of a surgical nuclear strike... Bourassa also put the facility on a high state of readiness following Kennedy's assassination in 1963. Surprisingly, Mount Weather was not put on alert during the Cuban missile crisis, though the situation was monitored closely.

Trial Date Set for Bishop Finn. (1)

The trial date for Bishop Robert W. Finn,of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph, Missouri will be September 24, 2012. Finn and the diocese were charged with failing to report suspected child abuse of one of his subordinates, Rev. Shawn Ratigan.

Bishop Finn, previously best known for his Opus Dei vision for the Church and society, had constructive knowledge of improper touching of young girls and possession of child pornography by Father Shawn Ratigan, who also faces criminal charges.

Bishop Finn avoided similar charges in nearby Clay County, Missouri by agreeing to government oversight of all pedophilia investigations for the next five years.

The controversial Opus Dei prelate and Father Ratigan have been receiving legal help from the ultra-conservative, Opus Bono Sacerdotii (OBS), an organization with strong ties to Opus Dei member Thomas Monaghan, William Donohue and several prominent Catholic neocons.

For the first time in nearly two decades of escalating tensions over Iran's nuclear program, world leaders are genuinely concerned that an Israeli military attack on the Islamic Republic could be imminent - an action that many fear might trigger a wider war, terrorism and global economic havoc. (1)

High-level foreign dignitaries, including the U.N. chief and the head of the American military, have stopped in Israel in recent weeks, urging leaders to give the diplomatic process more time to work. But U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has reportedly concluded that an Israeli attack on Iran is likely in the coming months.

Despite harsh economic sanctions and international pressure, Iran is refusing to abandon its nuclear program, which it insists is purely civilian, and threatening Israel and the West.

It's beginning to cause jitters in world capitals and financial markets.

miguel de Portugal comments: We have "the feeling" that this time it is not a bluff.

Last April (2011), Exelon Corp. acknowledged that the backup water pumps in northern Illinois nuclear reactors would not work (1)

In March 2008, federal officials said they were investigating a problem with electrical transformers at the plant after outside power to a unit was interrupted.

In an unrelated issue last April (2011), the commission said it was conducting special inspections of backup water pumps at the Byron (2) and Braidwood (3) generating stations after the agency's inspectors raised concerns about whether the pumps would be able to cool the reactors if the normal system wasn't working.

The plants' operator, Exelon Corp., initially said the pumps would work but later concluded they wouldn't.

miguel de Portugal comments: We certainly hope that they managed to get the back up system to work now, although, from the news, it seems that they were not terribly concerned about that.

Scientists who created easier-to-spread versions of the deadly bird flu said Friday they are temporarily halting more research, as international specialists debate what should happen next. (1)

Researchers from leading flu laboratories around the world signed onto the voluntary moratorium, published Friday in the journals Science and Nature.

What the scientists called a "pause" comes amid fierce controversy over how to handle research that's high-risk but potentially could bring a big payoff. Two labs - at Erasmus University in the Netherlands and the University of Wisconsin-Madison - created the new viruses while studying how bird flu might mutate to become a bigger threat to people.

The U.S. government funded the work but last month urged the teams not to publicly reveal the exact formula so that would-be bioterrorists couldn't copy it. Critics also worried a lab accident might allow the strains to escape.

miguel de Portugal comments: Let is see... We are funding research to develop an easier-to-spread version of the deadly bird flu?

Brethren, we are simply running out of adjectives to describe the level of stupidity, imbecility and idiocy of our scientists, administrators and politicians.

Nonetheless, thanks to them, we will more than welcome what God will allow upon humanity. Events which will make what we know as Noah's Flood pale by comparison. Without it, humanity would not have a chance.

Right about now, you've got to have your suspicions raised ... First a Nuclear event - loss of power ... venting all day/night (1/30/2012) ... THEN a series of reports of some kind of "sonic boom" last night (1/30/2012)... Then early this AM... an earthquake in the same area...

Arto Lauri— the scientist who first spoke on the frequency manipulation of radioactive particles in the air... stripping electrons ... sending that energy via earths magnetism down into the earth... thus causing earthquakes and underground movement.

Also, the impacting of the methane layer – — From Fukushima spreading around the world at SEVERAL nuclear sites: (1)

miguel de Portugal comments: We have just received the above from Mrs. LL. We have taken a brief look at it. During that brief look the report seemed worthy of note. Therefore, we are passing it along without further a do.
