From (Mrs.) IW @ US

[For privacy reasons we are using the two key sections of the letter and the name has been changed. The sections are within the full context of the entire letter and published with the authorization of the writer.]

Regarding the Divine Encouragement of April 28th which concluded with:

Faith is the Key to all.... and it is yours for the asking. 23 And immediately the father of the boy crying out, with tears said: I do believe, Lord: help my unbelief. [Mark 9]

How many times I have prayed and prayed this prayer for God to help me with my unbelief! The last several years have been so dark for me.

You so often talk about the Book of Life and being one of the elect. I had a horrible experience when I was a child.

Sometimes, I think of the experience and become so terrified I can hardly handle life, much less any of the problems the Good Lord gives me. I don't expect you to answer me as I know you have enough to do. However, maybe you could say a prayer for me to resolve this.

When I was in 8th grade, in a Catholic School, our dear nun was going up and down the aisles telling each of us how we were doing spiritually. Some of the children were good, some were bad but when she came to me, she said and I quote "...and then there is Jane. She is neither hot nor cold and you know what Christ said about that............. that He would vomit her out of His mouth."

I was so horrified I could not speak of it nor did I ever forget it!. So through the years and even today, which is many, many years later, any time there is a dark time in my life, and sometimes there are many, I think of what she said and I am sure I am not one of the elect no matter how hard I try. At times, I am so terrified to think I might really be lukewarm (and sometimes, I feel that way), I just want to hide.

My Dad would always tell me "trying doesn't mean a thing.......results are what count." This is true, but can you not try and try again? I mess up at times, and I agonize when I do, so how will I ever be able to please my God enough to gain salvation?

You are always in my prayers always, always.

(Mrs.) IW

A.
Your baring your soul in this manner and seeking help already indicates a great level of faith, since by asking for our prayers you believe (have the faith in God, Who is the One Who will respond to our prayers) that your situation can be resolved.

Well, dearest Jane, all we have for you is "Good News and More Good News!"

Who do you think are satan's prime targets? Those who are part of the Elect! Why? Because, although he cannot change the course of Eternal events, he can certainly make the life on earth miserable for those who will spend an Eternity of bliss. Therefore, without a shred of a doubt, of all your classmates, although not necessarily the only member of the Elect (1), you must have been the most (spiritually) brilliant.

That is why satan utilized the most devastating method with you - a nun telling you that "...He would vomit you out of His mouth."

The second issue - your Dad's very human philosophy.

Whatever is "human" is not from above. But do not take miguel's word for it.

As we explained in the document "Do not despair; Do not ever give up!" (2), the moment we sincerely acknowledge our shortcomings and sincerely desire, and try, to do what is right, the Father will be at our side and will walk His humble and contrite child Home - without fail!

Of course, God has also revealed to miguel the confirming fact that we are judged by how hard we have tried to sanctify ourselves and not by our degree of holiness.... and this can also be found in the New Testament in a veiled form:

And many that are first, shall be last: and the last shall be first. [Matt. 19:30]

Those who are "last" in holiness but keep sincerely trying to sanctify themselves, will end up ahead of those to who "sanctity" was "a natural".

Now, Jane, go in Peace and rejoice in the Lord!

Have you noticed that.... the Obama Birth Certificate "crisis" continues to make the proverbial ink flow? (1)

As we have said - the people of God should not be wasting time on whether President Obama birth certificate is real or not. It is completely immaterial considering the times that we are living through - The End of These Times with the chastisement just around the corner.

We could write extensively showing how pointless pursuing this issue is, but we will just summarize it by saying:

It is as pointless as trying to prove that the assassination of President Kennedy was "an inside job", or that the Pentagon was not hit by an airplane on 9-11-01 – and then hoping to take the culprits to court.

It is as pointless as was the effort to remove President Clinton from the White House utilizing a bait he was sure to fall for - Monica Lewinski.

We are not "talking politics" nor defending the validity or falsehood of the certificate. We are only calling the attention of the people of God to the fact that satan is using this as just another distraction. This is another version of:

And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman, water as it were a river; that he might cause her to be carried away by the river. [Rev. 12:15]

Have you heard that.... a Catholic church turned away an 8-year-old boy of Floresville, Texas, from his First Communion because he had cerebral palsy? (1)

When the Rev. Phil Henning of Sacred Heart Catholic Church denied Kevin his first reception of the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, Henning said the boy had "the mental capacity of a 6-month old" and didn't have "sufficient knowledge of Christ" to participate in the religious rite, even though Catholic doctrine doesn't specify what level of knowledge is adequate.

The boy's grandmother, Irma Castro, said Kevin had prepared for months for the "religious milestone" only to be offered a ritual for those who are sick.

Deacon Pat Rodgers, from the Archdiocese of San Antonio, told ABCNews.com that the decision whether to give the sacrament lies with the local priest, but emphasized, "It's never our desire, hope or wish to withhold a sacrament from someone who wants or needs it."

The M+G+R Foundation comments: Never mind what Jesus said:

Suffer the little children, and forbid them not to come to me: for the kingdom of heaven is for such. [Matthew 19:14]

and

Amen, I say to you: Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a child, shall not enter into it. [Luke 18:17]

He also said:

Give not that which is holy to dogs; neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turning upon you, they tear you. [Matthew 7:6]

It is obvious that the pearls dispensed in the formation of certain priests (and hierarchs) have certainly been wasted.

In case the reader needs another reminder of this, read on.....

From (Mr.) IW (1) @ US

In reference to the FYI&R post of April 25th (2) ....

When my late mother was dying of cancer, I brought her to a local Catholic hospital. A consultation with the doctors confirmed that she did not have that much time left, so I asked them to call the hospital Chaplain to administer the Last Rites.

The priest who showed up was well known to me (3), as I had previously dealt with him in professional circumstances. I also knew he was gay (from observation & the confidential testimony of his parishioners), and that he had employed a known clerical abuser in his parish. (4) But obtaining the Last Rites for my mom was imperative, so there was no time for 'priest shopping'.

Ignoring my disgust for this priest, I dealt with him in the most charitable manner possible, explaining what was needed. He began to administer the Last Rites to mom while...

..he simultaneously began to attempt to fondle me, repeatedly - despite attempts to move away or push his hand. There was no mistaking what he was attempting.

There was nothing I could do about the situation at that time. While I was not 'traumatized' by this, I was horrified. As a mature adult who is cognizant of 'problem priests' the 'horror' was that he was trying to abuse someone while administering a Sacrament. (5)

Had I made a ruckus or filed a formal complaint, I know full well that I would have been ignored, humiliated and vilified. Imagine if I had been some 12 year old child?

If they would likely do that to an adult, they would do far worse to a child.

And that is precisely what the Sex Abuse Crisis is about: Abuse upon abuse upon abuse. Because....

A Catholic Clergy Abuse Survivor – who is: someone who sinned (in the view of the Prelates) by disclosing the crime –

...would likely be made to have a session with:

A Catholic Psychiatrist – who is someone who can only find a clergy abuse survivor to be deceitful and insane.

Epilogue: The one thing which struck my mind immediately when I noticed his hand, was that he had no fingernails. That image has remained clear in my memory. Yet he had no observable pain or disability in normal hand function.

I am not aware of any disease which would cause your nails to fall out (and still be alive & well 10 years hence!). My intuition then, and now, is that this may somehow be occult related. Somewhere I remember reading of something like this, perhaps in connection with occult pedophilia. But where?

A. Obviously not all of the Gadarene herd drowned. [Mark 5: 1-16]

Thank you for sharing such a painful, but illustrative, memory.

(3) I should also note that this priest would seem 'perfectly normal' to most laity, as his public persona is very 'respectable' The inspiration for writing this came also from the accidental discovery of pictures showing him 'ad dextero' Archbishop Dolan, Fr. Benedict Groeschel, etc. One wonders how he came to know Bro. Damien Galligan, FMS, the Marist Brother/abuser he employed for 12 years.

Another major Internet security breach... This time mighty Sony - and their Play Station clients - were the target. (1)
[our highlights]

Last week, Sony’s online network for the PlayStation suffered a catastrophic failure through a hacking attack. .... roughly 77 million gamers worldwide.... who have accounts for the service have been unable to play games...

Then, on Tuesday, after several days of near silence, Sony said that as a result of the attack, an “unauthorized person” had obtained personal information about account holders, including their names, addresses, e-mail addresses, and PlayStation user names and passwords. Sony warned that other confidential information, including credit card numbers, could have been compromised, warning customers through a statement to “remain vigilant” by monitoring identity theft (2) or other financial loss.

The M+G+R Foundation comments: It is just a matter of time until PayPal, which without doubt has the world’s greatest financial data base on individual consumers, is hit.

It is not a matter of becoming a paranoiac; it is a matter of being fully aware of the serious risks the convenience of Internet carries with it. Do you realize that every single search that you have made with, say, Google is stored and indexed to the unique number of your computer as well as to your internet provider account? Of course, if the search engine is used as we do - Who cares? But, with enough data, even the most innocuous search topics can be used to build up a case against the searcher if "the masters" need to get him/her out of the way.

Oh, yes.... with enough stored free telephone conversations, courtesy of, say, Skype, words spoken by you can be reassembled in a form to literally put sentences and paragraphs in your mouth; sentences and paragraphs which you never uttered.

This is why we keep reminding one and all that: "Only in God we fully trust.... and that's just about it!"

From (Ms.) MR @ US

(The following letter appeared on "Catholic San Francisco" (a publication of the San Francisco Archdiocese) on February 4, 2011)

Phoenix Bishop Thomas Olmsted ("Bishop strips hospital of church affiliation", Jan 14), I have two questions I hope you will answer.

What would you have done if you had to make the decision to save the life of a mother of four or watch both mother and fetus die?

What would Jesus have done?

I am a practicing Catholic.

MR

A.
There was no answer to the letter in the SF Archdiocese newspaper, therefore, we will answer that very universal and difficult question.

"What would Jesus have done?" Defer to the Will of the Father just as He teaches us throughout the Holy Scriptures. God is the Master of Life and Death, and it is His decision whether the mother lived or left four children orphans.

Can anyone claim to love that mother, the unborn child and the four other children more than God does? Anyone who may claim that is a liar or simply does not know God well enough.

An easy decision it is not. A painful decision indeed it is, but so it was when Jesus said: My Father, if it be possible, let this chalice pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. [Matt. 26:39]

When man takes on the role of God - deciding who is to live and who is to die - man breaks with God just as those typified by Adam and Eve did.

It is not a matter of being a "practicing Catholic" - it is a matter of striving to live Christianity - from the first chapter of the Book of Genesis to the last chapter of the Book of Revelations.

Now, hold your torches! This does not mean that we necessarily agree with all else Bishop Thomas Olmsted may have done regarding this or any other case - past or future. Even if Olmsted is a torch bearer for Opus Dei and/or vacationed together with Marcial Maciel, what we have stated above stands.

About Sin... much talked about but little understood.

The purpose of this brief document (1) is to explain, to those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, what constitutes Sin, how to avoid it, and how to conquer our predisposition to it.

This is an illumination that Jesus Christ brought to humanity about 2000 years ago, but that was turned from a liberating message to a tool of enslavement through guilt.

From (Mr.) WS @ US

It's interesting that the Washington Post, in their article - Making the extraction of natural gas from shale cleaner (1) - failed to mention the extreme dangers of pumping a "cocktail of water and chemicals below the surface at high pressure" to bring "unconventional" natural gas to the surface.

Nowhere was the word "fracking" used. (2)

WS

A.
The more humanity (and the press) talks about purity of action and justice, the more prostituted it gets. The Washington Post and the New York Times are willing to publish Wiki-documents which truly endanger US national security, but God forbid that they should publish anything that may harm their pocketbooks.

We would like to see the Washington Post or the New York Times publish documents similar to those of Wikileaks from headquarters in (for example) Syria or Libya - but the subject would not be US behind-the-scenes skullduggery, but Syrian or Libyan behind-the-scenes skullduggery. Their property - and their editors - would last less time than a snowball tossed into a bonfire.

This does not mean that we approve or disapprove of the US behind-the-scenes international skullduggery. It means, however, that when the media sells itself to the highest bidder, regardless of the very serious consequences it may have for the host nation, we are dealing with prostitution - no different from what they are denouncing from their well soiled Ivory Towers.

In plain vanilla English: We consider any member of the US media who publishes the like of what Wikileaks has provided them with, a traitor. It is one thing to have an investigative reporter "sniffing around", connecting gathered dots and publishing them as a yet-to-be-proved "Theory" - and another thing to publish black-and-white official documents, which endangers the lives of more people than we wish to count.

This is not a new "holier-than-thou" attitude. When the man whom God anointed miguel de Portugal was in school and heard any foreign student (destructively) criticize the US while singing the praises of their country, without fail he invited them - friends and acquaintances alike - to pack their bags and get back to their native "paradise"; we must admit, the language was a bit rougher; as rough as it can get in an all male military school.

(2) Fracking is a process that results in the creation of fractures in rocks. The fracturing is done from a wellbore drilled into reservoir rock formations to increase the rate and ultimate recovery of oil and natural gas.

Hydraulic fractures may be natural or man-made and are extended by internal fluid pressure which opens the fracture and causes it to extend through the rock. Natural hydraulic fractures include volcanic dikes, sills and fracturing by ice as in frost weathering. Man-made fluid-driven fractures are formed at depth in a borehole and extend into targeted formations. The fracture width is typically maintained after the injection by introducing a proppant into the injected fluid. Proppant is a material, such as grains of sand, ceramic, or other particulates, that prevent the fractures from closing when the injection is stopped.

Did you know that.... the average American's view of State and Religion is considerably off the mark? (1)

A Major Myth: America is more secular than it used to be.

Reality: The American Revolution was actually a low point in American religious adherence. Sociologists have shown that no more than 20 percent of the population in 1776 belonged to a church. Then, under the influence of evangelical expansion during the Second Great Awakening in the early 19th century, church membership grew rapidly until, by 1850, more than one-third of Americans belonged to a church. In 1890, after another round of Protestant evangelization and Catholic immigration from Ireland, Italy and elsewhere, the proportion rose to 45 percent. And in 1906, church members became a majority - 51 percent of the population.

The trend continues. In 2000, 62 percent of the populace belonged to religious institutions, if not specifically Christian churches. Evangelical Christians still lead this expansion, and their influence has become more pronounced, not less, over the past two centuries. The presidency of George W. Bush — the most evangelical commander in chief - testifies that Americans are becoming more religious, not less.

A Major Myth: The depth of the founders' faith.

(Shocking) Reality: Christians who consider the founders saintly won't have much luck backing that up. Thomas Jefferson wrote a version of the New Testament that removed references to Jesus' divinity. Ben Franklin was a deist. And George Washington may not have taken Communion.

The M+G+R Foundation comments: It is always good to check the facts upon which one makes important decisions and/or draws important conclusions. After all, do not forget that the Vatican "sold" to all who would buy it that Constantine had donated (2) the Roman Empire to the Pope, and it continues to "sell" to whoever wishes to buy it that there is no salvation outside the Roman Catholic Church (3). Notice: We stated "Roman Catholic Church", we did not say Jesus Christ; He is, indeed, the ONLY WAY to Eternal Life.

and that....

.... some happy states have high suicide rates? (1)

An intriguing new study suggests that may be the case. Researchers who study how people's sense of well-being varies from place to place decided to compare their findings with suicide rates.

The surprising result: The happiest places sometimes also have the highest suicide rates. "Discontented people in a happy place may feel particularly harshly treated by life," suggested Andrew Oswald of the University of Warwick in England.

Or, put another way by co-author Stephen Wu of Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y., those surrounded by unhappy people may not feel so bad for themselves.

Their study ranked Utah as the No. 1 state for residents' sense of well-being, but it also scored a high No. 9 in suicide rate. By contrast New York State ranked a low 45th in well-being, but an even lower 50th in suicides.

Sonja Lyubomirsky, a psychology professor at the University of California, Riverside, who wasn't involved in the research, agreed that living around people who are, on average, pretty satisfied with their lives, when you are not, can make you feel more miserable.

In an interview by email, she said the findings remind her of an effect researchers have discussed in cases where a city with a reputation for being a good place to live also has a high suicide rate.

The idea is, "If you're unhappy there, you conclude, 'something must be really wrong with me,' or 'nothing will make me happy,' so you're more likely to get depressed and take your life," said Lyubomirsky, who researches happiness and well-being.

The M+G+R Foundation comments: It would have been interesting to determine if those who committed suicide were perceived by their peers as happy and satisfied. Such data would evaluate the "denial" (2) factor. That is, one can "deny" up to a point, after a point, the farce becomes unbearable. Actually, several cases - with names and life histories - come to mind. Were this a contributing factor, it would be logical that there are more people in denial in "happy states" than in an average or gloomy one. This is just a thought; we do not intend to start a discussion on this.

Please visit our photo gallery to see pictures of the May 21, 2011 Rapture and October 21, 2011 End of the World billboards! (2)

The M+G+R Foundation comments: If you visit the Photo Gallery (2) you will see the extent and reach of the message of this organization. The issue of the money that they are bilking from the unsuspecting (but not moved by the Holy Spirit) faithful is really minor compared to what this will do - on a global scale - to the true calls of preparation for the End of These Times.

Once the first date - May 21, 2011 - passes, the press and the internet will see to it that the world hears about the scam and, as with the "Crying Wolf" story, fewer people will be prone to hear our warnings (3) and act upon them.

Our consolation is that, even though this scheme is from satan, he must serve God – and those who, as the result of that scam, turn a deaf ear to the true warnings are precisely those because of whom Jesus spoke in parables.

[13] Therefore do I speak to them in parables: because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. [14] And the prophecy of Isaias is fulfilled in them, who saith: By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand: and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive. [15] For the heart of this people is grown gross, and with their ears they have been dull of hearing, and their eyes they have shut: lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. Have you heard that..... a well published conservative theologian in an interview with the high profiled German magazine Der Spiegel stated, with considerable authority, that: 'A Large Proportion of Catholic Clerics and Trainee Priests Are Homosexual'? (1)

David Berger, a homosexual theologian who has written a book about his experiences as a senior theologian in the Catholic Church, speaks to SPIEGEL about homophobia and the church's shift to the right. Quotes from the interview follow.
[our underscoring]

SPIEGEL: Mr. Berger, you describe the Catholic Church as a homophobic organization. Why did it take you, a homosexual theologian, so long to resign from your offices in the church?

Berger: Because such an exit isn't a question of days. Even as a child I wanted to be a priest, but by the time I had finished high school it was clear to me that I would not be able to live a life of celibacy.

SPIEGEL: And you became a theologian anyway?

Berger: Yes, because the church never lost its attraction for me. The Tridentine Mass was like a gateway drug for me. When I was 17, I was with the Pius Brothers in Lower Bavaria. What I saw there was a fascinatingly aesthetic baroque dream of leaf gold and Brussels Bobbin lace. I couldn't get away from it. It only became clear to me later what I had got involved in, and the dream turned more and more into a nightmare.

SPIEGEL: Why?

Berger: Because my own life, my life with a partner, increasingly contradicted what was said and demanded in my church environment. Through my enthusiasm for the traditional mass and for conservative theology, I became increasingly involved with conservative Catholic networks of young aristocrats, industrialists and reputable academics. They utterly condemned homosexuality.

SPIEGEL: How did that manifest itself?

Berger: I kept having to listen to inhuman views. For example, Hitler was praised for having interned and murdered homosexuals in concentration camps. The point came when I couldn't remain silent any longer ...

SPIEGEL: ... after you and your career had profited for a long time from contact with these right-wing circles.

Berger: Ever since Pope Benedict XVI, at the latest, you have to be anti-modern to have a career in the Catholic Church. I criticized the relatively progressive theology and left-wing church policy of Karl Rahner.

That is how people noticed me. Because I was an expert on the medieval thinker Thomas Aquinas, I was invited by almost all right-wing conservative groups to give lectures. I was in touch with the Sedevacantists, the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, the Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property, Una Voce, Opus Dei and the Servants of Jesus and Mary.

etc., etc.

The M+G+R Foundation comments: Although what he said is, generally speaking, not news to us, we checked his credentials since we have never heard of him. He proved to be all he claimed/implied to be. (2) (3)

Did you know that.... by 1997, while the faith of the average citizen was being eroded by the "progress" of science, 40 % of American physicists, biologists and mathematicians believe in God - and not just some metaphysical abstraction, but a deity who takes an active interest in our affairs and hears our prayers: the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? (1)

This percentage, it turns out, is exactly the same as it was in 1916, when an identical poll was taken. Strikingly, as the nation’s intelligentsia has turned toward atheism, many in the scientific community have stuck to theism. They apparently haven’t changed their minds about whether God exists.

The quasi-scientific 19th-century school of thought known as materialism, which held that matter is the fundamental and final reality, excluded the possibility of an immortal soul.

Newton’s 19th-century successors demonstrated that a clockwork universe was actually self-sustaining; no divine help was required to keep it operating smoothly. It was this new spirit of scientific rationality that allowed Nietzsche to declare that God was dead.

But if the scientific findings of the 19th century eroded belief in God, those of the 20th century have had just the opposite evidential force, although few intellectuals outside science have yet to come to terms with this.

In the 20th century it has been discovered — much to the surprise of scientists like Einstein — that the universe hasn’t always been around. Rather, it suddenly exploded into being some 15 billion years ago in a flash of light and energy. The abrupt emergence of a world out of nothingness with the big bang bears an uncanny resemblance to the Genesis command: "Let there be light . . . ." Atheists now had some explaining to do.

The M+G+R Foundation comments: As we ponder and patiently await our Lord's Resurrection – a childish fantasy, according to the likes of Nietzsche (of decades past) and Dawkins (still with us) – prepare for the day, soon, when we will be able to rejoice in the Glory of God, while those who refused to listen and respond to the warnings given to the world for decades, see their "rational" arguments vanish into (sulfurous?) smoke.

Are we to live through the sequel of what caused the famous Chicago fire? "Stars" Falling from Heaven.....

As the story goes, a cow upset a lantern in a barn owned by Mrs. Catherine O'Leary on October 8, 1871, causing the Great Chicago Fire. This fire totally destroyed old Chicago except for 6 buildings, one of which was St. Michael's Church. I mention this because there is some opinion that the cow was not the instrument of this conflagration, but that it might have been caused by fragments of a comet by the name Biela (1). Though this fire laid waste to most of Chicago and killed hundreds, there were other holocausts that same day which killed more people.

The Great Chicago Fire destroyed 17,500 buildings and claimed 250 lives. But it was not just Chicago that was burning, nor was Chicago the worst of the fires.

Separate fires were burning in Peshtigo Wisconsin, and in Green Bay, Rosiere, Williamsonville and other Sturgeon Bay area towns. The death toll for the entire area was actually between 1,650, and 1,750. Peshtigo Wisconsin had the highest death toll, about 1150.

On that hot, dry and windy autumn, three other major fires occurred along the shores of Lake Michigan at the same time as the Great Chicago Fire. Some 250 miles (400 km) to the north, a forest fire driven by strong winds consumed the town of Peshtigo, Wisconsin, along with a dozen other villages, killing 1,200 to 2,500 people and charring approximately 1.5 million acres (6,000 km²). Though the Peshtigo Fire remains the deadliest in American history, the remoteness of the region meant it was little noticed at the time. Across the lake to the east, the town of Holland, Michigan, and other nearby areas burned to the ground.

Some 100 miles (160 km) to the north of Holland the lumbering community of Manistee, Michigan, also went up in flames in what became known as The Great Michigan Fire. Farther east, along the shore of Lake Huron, the Port Huron Fire swept through Port Huron, Michigan and much of Michigan's "Thumb". Also on October 9,1871 a fire swept through the City of Urbana, Illinois, 140 miles (230 km) south of Chicago, destroying portions of its downtown area.

Windsor, Ontario likewise burned on October 12. The city of Singapore, Michigan provided a large portion of the lumber to rebuild Chicago. As a result the town of Singapore was so heavily deforested that the area turned into barren sand dunes and the town had to be abandoned.

A.
Interesting indeed. We can be assured that if officialdom had concrete proof that it were indeed Biela fragments which caused such fires, they will never admit to it - after all, humanity is powerless in the face of what used to be called Acts of (really, allowed by) God.

A similar event on a much greater scale would be an effective way to make humanity drop to its knees in prayer, and stay there. Let us pray that God allows whatever is necessary to wake up all of His Elect, so that – in the end – human suffering is minimized while God’s Justice is administered and His Scriptures are fulfilled.

From Our Lord Jesus Christ through St. Faustina

Jesus asked that the Feast of the Divine Mercy be preceded by a Novena to the Divine Mercy which would begin on Good Friday. He gave St. Faustina an intention to pray for on each day of the Novena, saving for the last day the most difficult intention of all, the lukewarm and indifferent of whom He said:

"These souls cause Me more suffering than any others; it was from such souls that My soul felt the most revulsion in the Garden of Olives. It was on their account that I said: 'My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass Me by.' The last hope of salvation for them is to flee to My Mercy."

"These souls cause Me more suffering than any others; it was from such souls that My soul felt the most revulsion in the Garden of Olives. It was on their account that I said: 'My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass Me by.' The last hope of salvation for them is to flee to My Mercy."

"On each day of the novena you will bring to My heart a different group of souls and you will immerse them in this ocean of My mercy ... On each day you will beg My Father, on the strength of My passion, for the graces for these souls."

As we enter into the Easter Triduum....

....may we suggest some very needed intentions to pray for?

Suggested intentions to pray for during these very special and critical times.

while...

......keeping much in mind the immense generosity of God. He manifested Himself in human form, subjected Himself to all the human miseries (except sin) throughout His life in Time, and then submitted Himself to an agonizing Passion and Death. All the while, He was fully aware that:
For many are called, but few are chosen. [Matthew 22:14]

and....

How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life: and few there are that find it! [Matthew 7:14]

That is Divine Generosity; a generosity we should strive to emulate.

It is truly amazing to see.... a drop of ca. 40% in the visits to this page on April 19th considering the importance of the material posted.

We presume it is a matter of priorities or.... is it denial (1)?

In any case - a prayerful walk with Jesus through the Stations of the Cross will help reset one's priorities and shake off the deadly denial (1).

Have you heard that..... after one year of the BP disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, more than 3,200 oil and gas wells classified as active lie abandoned beneath the Gulf of Mexico, with no cement plugging to help prevent leaks that could threaten the same waters fouled by last year's BP spill? (1)

These wells likely pose an even greater environmental threat than the 27,000 wells in the Gulf that have been plugged and classified officially as "permanently abandoned" or "temporarily abandoned." Those sealed wells were first tallied and reported as a major leaking threat in an investigative report by the AP in July.

The unplugged wells haven't been used for at least five years, and there are no plans to restore production on them, according to the federal government. Operators have not been required to plug the wells because their leases have not expired.

The M+G+R Foundation overall comment: As we keep exhorting one and all.... Let us pray, and then, Pray some more! for the world has no other viable choice left.

Have you heard that.... early Christian lead codices allegedly found in Jordan are now called fakes? (1)

Seventy metal books allegedly discovered in a cave in Jordan have been hailed as the earliest Christian documents. Dating them to mere decades after Jesus' death, scholars have called the "lead codices" the most important discovery in archaeological history, and leading media outlets have added fuel to the fire surrounding the books in recent weeks.

"Never has there been a discovery of relics on this scale from the early Christian movement, in its homeland and so early in its history," reported the BBC.

Slowly, though, more and more questions have arisen about the authenticity of the codices, whose credit-card-size pages are cast in lead and bound together by lead rings. Today, an Aramaic translator has completed his analysis of the artifacts, and has found what he says is incontrovertible evidence that they are fakes.

....the US Ambassador to Malta, Douglas Kmiec, has tendered his resignation to US President Barack Obama in the wake of a report by the US Office of Inspector General (OIG)? (1)

The report criticised the amount of time Ambassador Kmiec has dedicated to promoting his (Catholic) faith. The ambassador, who stressed he was tendering his resignation .... as a matter of principle "without pressure from... anyone", said it has been a privilege to serve in Malta.

However, Prof. Kmiec added he could no longer be sure – with his dedication "impugned" by the OIG report – that he was in "a position with my government to have the needs and perspectives (of Malta) heard in the best possible light".

"Over the last days since the report came out, I have prayed that there might be some way short of having the President affirm my credentials personally to remove this doubt in my mind."

In a letter to Mr. Obama, seen by The Sunday Times, Prof. Kmiec said: “The OIG... expressed dissatisfaction with the extent of time... that I have devoted to promoting what I know you believe in most strongly – namely personal faith and greater mutual respect... I doubt very much whether one could ever spend too much time on this subject."

......a scientist claims that the Last Supper was a day earlier? (1)

Christians have long celebrated Jesus Christ's Last Supper on Maundy Thursday but new research released Monday claims to show it took place on the Wednesday before the crucifixion.

Professor Colin Humphreys, a scientist at the University of Cambridge, believes it is all due to a calendar mix-up.

Humphreys uses a combination of biblical, historical and astronomical research to try to pinpoint the precise nature and timing of Jesus's final meal with his disciples before his death.

Researchers have long been puzzled by an apparent inconsistency in the Bible.

"Whatever you think about the Bible, the fact is that Jewish people would never mistake the Passover meal for another meal, so for the Gospels to contradict themselves in this regard is really hard to understand," Humphreys said.

While Matthew, Mark and Luke all say the Last Supper coincided with the start of the Jewish festival of Passover, John claims it took place before Passover.

Humphreys has concluded in a new book, "The Mystery Of The Last Supper", that Jesus -- along with Matthew, Mark and Luke -- may have been using a different calendar than John.

In Humphreys' theory, Jesus went by an old-fashioned Jewish calendar rather than the official lunar calendar which was in widespread use at the time of his death and is still in use today.

Did you know that.... millions of gallons of potentially hazardous chemicals and known carcinogens were injected into wells by leading oil and gas service companies from 2005-2009? (1)

The report said 29 of the chemicals injected were known-or-suspected human carcinogens. They either were regulated under the Safe Drinking Water Act as risks to human health or listed as hazardous air pollutants under the Clean Air Act.

The chemicals are injected during hydraulic fracturing, a process used in combination with horizontal drilling to allow access to natural gas reserves previously considered uneconomical.

The growing use of hydraulic fracturing has allowed natural gas production in the United States to reach levels not achieved since the early 1970s.

miguel de Portugal comments: When I entered the petrochemical industry in the mid sixties, the deep well injection method of disposal was already a common practice. That is - water contaminated with hazardous chemicals and heavy metals (spent Uranium included), too vile to discharge into an already polluted surface stream, was being injected into the ground as a method of disposal.

When one compares "millions of gallons of potentially hazardous chemicals and known carcinogens were injected into wells by leading oil and gas service companies from 2005-2009" with has been done since the mid sixties alone (we do not know how long that had been a common practice by the time I entered the field) - it is just a drop in the proverbial bucket.

Did you know also that.... a nationwide study finds U.S. meat and poultry is widely contaminated? (1)

Multi-drug-resistant Staph found in nearly 1 in 4 samples, review shows

Drug-resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus, a bacteria linked to a wide range of human diseases, are present in meat and poultry from U.S. grocery stores at unexpectedly high rates, according to a nationwide study by the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen).

Nearly half of the meat and poultry samples — 47 percent — were contaminated with S. aureus, and more than half of those bacteria — 52 percent — were resistant to at least three classes of antibiotics, according to the study published today in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases.

The M+G+R Foundation comments: Between the chemical/mineral and biological contaminants "the score" continues to be in satan's favor. The worst part is that most humans do not realize it.... or simply refuse to believe it.

Have you heard that..... Sister Mary MacKillop and the nuns of the Sisterhood of St. Joseph of the Sacred Heart in South Australia were condemned and even excommunicated in 1871 by high-ranking priests for informing the authorities of the apparent paedophilic acts of Father Patrick Keating at a local public school in Kapunda, South Australia? (1) (2)

"One Thursday evening, 21 September 1871, Horan told Mary MacKillop that the bishop (who had called while she was out that day) wanted her to go to another convent. She could not go that night and wanted to discuss matters with the sisters and the bishop as well. Horan told her that the bishop would not see her and added, 'I suppose you won't go.' She answered: 'Father, how can I under these circumstances.' Horan led her to believe that she was excommunicated. The next morning the bishop arrived with four priests and, in a ranting mood, amid the hysteria of some of the sisters, and with MacKillop kneeling down on her knees in the chapel, he excommunicated her and sent her back into the world."

The M+G+R Foundation comments: First we must realize how bad the (of course, alleged) sexual abuse must have been to drive otherwise submissive nuns to blow the whistle on the "almighty" clergy of the 19th century.

Second, we wonder what is this (alleged) sexual abuse to be blamed on?

Was it the Second Vatican Council, which had not yet occurred? Or, was it the sexual revolution, which came one hundred years later? Or, were there “naughty and over sexed" Australian boys who pushed the poor, defenseless priests into sexual activity?

Of course, we are being sarcastic. How else could we be, considering the way that the Vatican continues to deal with the centuries old sexual abuses within its ranks.

Oh, yes, Ratzinger canonized Sister Mary MacKillop in 2010. We presume that this was supposed to be a final Mea Culpa and let bygones be bygones. Meanwhile, the still-not-defrocked Belgian Bishop trivialized, on Belgian television on Thursday evening, April 14, (3) his sexual interaction with his nephew. As he trivialized the events - the sexual abuse as no more than "a little piece of intimacy" - he also let it slip out that there was another nephew with whom he sexually interacted.

If this keeps up satan may just have to place a sign at the gates of hell reading: "No Vacancy".

From the Lord Jesus Christ

You must believe utterly. My Love can bear nothing less. I am so often “wounded in the house of My friends.” Do you think the spitting and scorn of My enemies, the mocking and reviling hurt me? No!

They all forsook Him and fled.” “I know not the man.” These left their scars.

So now, it is not the unbelief of My enemies that hurts, but that My friends, who love and know Me, yet cannot walk all the way with Me, and doubt My Power to do all that I have said.

miguel de Portugal comments: I know what you read above for a fact - so much so that it greatly pains me when I meditate on it while offering reparation and consolation for it.

Take some time and ponder: How must He feel as He witnesses so many who use His Holy Name as an adjective - Christian - yet live contrary to His teachings and barely make an effort to change their lives.

Let us start Holy Week using the following words in Matthew as a starting point:

And why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye? Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam in thy own eye, and then shalt thou see to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. [Matthew 7: 3-5]

It is always easier to deal with "the beam" in our eye now than after we cross the veil. After "the crossing" there is nothing else we can do but suffer as the result of its consequences.

It is not a matter of "Apocalypse Now or Later" since all will cross the veil without fail.

From (Mrs.) BK @ US

I would like to know what your thoughts are on an article penned by Fr. Bertrand L. Conway, CSP, and published by the Paulist Press, New York, in 1929, with the Imprimatur of Patrick Cardinal Hayes, Archbishop of New York. (1)

The title of the article is: Jesus Christ did not found many religions - He founded the Roman Catholic Church

In the first few lines I read:

Is not one religion as good as another? Are not creeds in themselves unimportant, and conduct the one thing essential? Do we not frequently meet men who believe in Christ and all His teachings, and yet day by day do things that would bring a blush to a pagan's cheek?

One of the most common dogmas outside the Catholic Church in our day and country is the dogma of indifferentism.

Have a truly Blessed Holy Week!

BK

A
. The words from Jesus Christ and our comments posted above, amply address our position regarding indifferentism or as we like to call it Cafeteria Faith.

Regarding what the title claims, we have amply addressed that issue in a number of documents - some of them have sent the Vatican Masters scrambling for cover.

Some of them are:

(a) There is Salvation Outside the Roman Catholic Church
(b) The Church founded by Jesus Christ was set upon the Rock of Christ
(c) The Catholic Faith contains most of the Truths revealed to humanity.
(d) The Roman Catholic Administration has miserably failed the Evangelization task.
(e) The Importance of Mary

We have not read the whole of Rev. Conway's text since we cannot review everything that is submitted to us – unless it is presented in a manner that we can quickly review the high points. Nonetheless, we think that we have amply covered the matter.

If after reviewing the contents of documents (a) through (e) you need additional feedback, please be specific and we will gladly comply - God Willing, of course.

As we enter Holy Week.... let us not forget the Spiritual Benefits associated with a meditated pictorial Via Crucis.

Did you know that ..... the great seismic activity that you saw in our weekly seismic report is mostly not associated with the Japanese seismic activity which has been on the news for a month?

If we represent the seismic activity only associated with the Japanese events for the period of 5/30/10 to 4/14/11, the graph looks as follows:

"M5 Equivalents" = Equivalent 5.0-5.9 magnitude earthquakes

If we represent all of the seismic activity in the world for the same period (5/30/10 to 4/14/11), including the Japanese events, the graph will look as follows:

"M5 Equivalents" = Equivalent 5.0-5.9 magnitude earthquakes

As one can readily see, the seismic activity on a global basis, has been quite significant even before the earthquakes in Japan.

Did you know that... when the burden of the manifesting realities begins to weigh you down, the best thing to do, next to prayer, is to review the Biblical Prophecies and Promises Regarding the Return of Christ. (1)

We know that those are truths, and they are indeed His promises. Do not let the evil one get you down - arm yourself with unshakable Faith and march on triumphantly in His Most Holy Name!

On April 2009 we received a letter from a long time reader and Family member. It is the Will of God that we publish this again. It follows [edited for publication]:

I trusted in God when I feared the loss of my job. You commended me. My job is gone.
I have trusted in God to help me find another. My wife and I are facing bankruptcy. I can find no work.
I fear my Rosaries are in vain.
My car died today.
I wonder where God is, and why He has turned His back on me.
You once said I was obviously one of His elect. I think mistakes have been made.
I don't even believe in the pills the psychiatrist gives me.
I can't afford them anyway.
I'm tired, and there is no hope, at least not for me.

His letter made miguel de Portugal (m de P) realize that perhaps far too many of our readers thought that we spoke about Faith without having taken it to great limits. Therefore, focusing on his particular concerns (2), we shared with him a small part of the experiences m de P had to live through as part of his "on the job training". m de P's response to this, our brother, was thus [edited for publication]:

Believe it or not the man who went on to become m de P ("I" henceforth) went through all of that and more. Not only I faced bankruptcy - I had to file for bankruptcy!

In the late eighties, with $ 5,000 dollars of payments
due every month, I found myself with only fifty dollars on hand, paying credit cards with credit cards and no employment of any kind (not even as a store clerk - I was far grossly overqualified), but I knew that God was testing me and I trusted Him.

A very close and trusted business associate betrayed me and defaulted on a very large debt
(3) - and my "church going friends" of the past, as it is usually the case, turned their backs on me. They would not even purchase an ashtray in a massive "garage" sale of all household goods the future m de P eventually had to hold. The few "friends" who came to browse did so just to sneer.

When all was so black that I could not even see the blackness, I steadfastly held to Him and the Rosary. I knew that He would not fail me.

Once He deemed that I had showed enough Faith in Him, the faucets of plenty were opened.... and open they were!

When, a few years later, God said to me: "
Leave all and follow Me" - I was in the best financial, professional and social position I had ever been in my whole life - with new high yielding engineering projects pouring in - but I trusted God and, through and by His Grace,(4) left all behind - willingly, not because I had no other choice or nothing to lose, worldly speaking, that is - and followed Him.

What else can I say?

Perhaps that 20 years later I look back and have no regrets about placing my complete trust in God.

m de P

(1) Biblical Prophecies and Promises Regarding the Return of Christ.
(2) There are so many other areas where God had demanded that m de P prove to Him his Faith, that a full length book could be written just covering them.
(3) The only way to recoup the enormous loss would have been a nasty law suit, but that is not God's way - considering that the alluded to business partner was the mother of my children [And if a man will contend with thee in judgment, and take away thy coat, let go thy cloak also unto him. Matthew 5:40]
(4) Without His Grace it would have been impossible to "drop everything and follow Him."

Are you aware that.... through the diligence of a cooperator, we publish every week an updated graph and chart indicating the energy released by earthquakes worldwide?

It is certainly worth a weekly visit.

Notes

(1) If you are a new visitor, you may get the idea (from what you may read on this page) that we are part of what is known as the "liberal movement" within Catholicism. We strongly suggest that you first review our positions regarding the Pristine Catholic Faith (we said "Faith" and not "Church Administration), RC Church Administration, Only Possible Changes Within the RCC Allowed by God and Our Function.

(2) If you prefer to evaluate positions using the "liberal", "moderate" and "conservative" labels, we would fall in the "practicing conservative" group, without the fanaticism which most "talking conservatives" exhibit. The difference between "practicing conservative" and "talking conservative" is that the first strives to live what Jesus Christ taught, while the second one, the "talking conservative", just talks about the faith and practices just enough for others to see.

(3) In an effort to keep our readers informed in the areas that matter most as we approach the End of These Times and better utilize the limited time available to us we will post what used to beposted on Did you know that...?, Private Forum, Public Forum Part II and Points to Ponder About on this one single page - FYI&R
