Did you know that... when the burden of the manifesting realities begins to weigh you down, the best thing to do, next to prayer, is to review the Biblical Prophecies and Promises Regarding the Return of Christ. (1)
We know that those are truths, and they are indeed His promises. Do not let the evil one get you down - arm yourself with unshakable Faith and march on triumphantly in His Most Holy Name!
On April 2009 we received a letter from a long time reader and Family member. It is the Will of God that we publish this again. It follows [edited for publication]:
I trusted in God when I feared the loss of my job. You commended me. My job is gone.
I have trusted in God to help me find another. My wife and I are facing bankruptcy. I can find no work.
I fear my Rosaries are in vain.
My car died today.
I wonder where God is, and why He has turned His back on me.
You once said I was obviously one of His elect. I think mistakes have been made.
I don't even believe in the pills the psychiatrist gives me.
I can't afford them anyway.
I'm tired, and there is no hope, at least not for me.
I have trusted in God to help me find another. My wife and I are facing bankruptcy. I can find no work.
I fear my Rosaries are in vain.
My car died today.
I wonder where God is, and why He has turned His back on me.
You once said I was obviously one of His elect. I think mistakes have been made.

His letter made miguel de Portugal (m de P) realize that perhaps far too many of our readers thought that we spoke about Faith without having taken it to great limits. Therefore, focusing on his particular concerns (2), we shared with him a small part of the experiences m de P had to live through as part of his "on the job training". m de P's response to this, our brother, was thus [edited for publication]:
Believe it or not the man who went on to become m de P ("I" henceforth) went through all of
that and more. Not only I faced bankruptcy - I had to file for bankruptcy!
In the late eighties, with $ 5,000 dollars of payments due every month, I found myself with only fifty dollars on hand, paying credit cards with credit cards and no employment of any kind (not even as a store clerk - I was far grossly overqualified), but I knew that God was testing me and I trusted Him.
A very close and trusted business associate betrayed me and defaulted on a very large debt (3) - and my "church going friends" of the past, as it is usually the case, turned their backs on me. They would not even purchase an ashtray in a massive "garage" sale of all household goods the future m de P eventually had to hold. The few "friends" who came to browse did so just to sneer.
When all was so black that I could not even see the blackness, I steadfastly held to Him and the Rosary. I knew that He would not fail me.
Once He deemed that I had showed enough Faith in Him, the faucets of plenty were opened... and open they were!
When, a few years later, God said to me: "Leave all and follow Me" - I was in the best financial, professional and social position I had ever been in my whole life - with new high yielding engineering projects pouring in - but I trusted God and, through and by His Grace,(4) left all behind - willingly, not because I had no other choice or nothing to lose, worldly speaking, that is - and followed Him.
What else can I say?
Perhaps that 20 years later I look back and have no regrets about placing my complete trust in God.

Did you know that... The Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights is going on the attack against "those who are distorting the truth about priestly sexual abuse"? (1)
The group bought an expensive full-page ad in The New York Times Monday that places the blames for
the church's scandals on "homosexuality, not pedophilia".
And perhaps most shockingly, it also claimed that some children were active participants in the abuse.
"The refrain that child rape is a reality in the Church is twice wrong: let's get it straight – they weren't children and they weren't raped", self-appointed Catholic League president Bill Donohue wrote in the ad.

Regarding your correspondence about the EPA adjustments on tolerable radiation levels... (1)
I see all these things happening and agree the time of Jesus return is short, yet I have an issue I need help with...
My sons see this as well, and their faith is wavering because they cannot understand why God allows this.
How can I foster in them HOPE along with what is happening to try to bring them back to the Truth???

A. First of all, they must be reminded that God placed man in charge of Creation [Genesis 1 and 2] and gave him an inviolable free will.
Since the purpose of man in Time, after the fall, became an opportunity to return to Paradise, all God can do to help man without violating his free will is to assist man through His Divine Providence (2) as we explained in a recent document. (3)
Contrary to what man has been brainwashed to believe - God does not punish. Our transgressions of established Divine Laws bring upon ourselves detrimental consequences. Remember our example about falling to one's death from a ten story rooftop. The law of gravity did not punish the victim; the victim just violated an established physical law - The Law of Gravity - with the logical and deadly consequences.
What God does is, through His Divine Mercy, cushion the blows upon a human being (and humanity) which result from the transgression of inviolable Divine Laws established at the time of Creation.
If God steps in and stops all (thus violating our free will), we will lose our only opportunity to earn our way back to Paradise.
If God ignores all, we will completely destroy humanity without remedy, resulting in Eternal death.
So, what is God to do? He resorts with the proven technique: Pain is the megaphone that God uses to get the attention of His children so that they can correct their wayward ways. (4)
In the most blunt way that we can explain this: Knowing what God has revealed to miguel de Portugal, if He asked: "Should I turn off the volume of the megaphone and stand back and let mankind work out their problems?" the answer would be a resolute "No!".
The only hope for a positive future that your sons have is that God "...resorts to the proven technique: Pain is the megaphone that God uses to get the attention of His children so that they can correct their wayward ways".
The other option would be Eternal death. Let us not forget that:
... there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders,
insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. [Matt. 24:24]

Regarding your statement "the land of 'saints and scholars'" - We do not think that the general Catholic population of the world knows how much we all owe to Irish Catholicism since, if it had not been for Irish monks closeted in Scriptoriums copying Biblical texts, they would have been lost during the Dark Ages in continental Europe.
Also, the truly edifying history of the man who became St. Patrick is unknown by most. It is an inspiring history which is covered with the Fingerprints of God. Tragically, when most Catholics mention St. Patrick, all they see is green beer served in a clover leaf shaped mug.
We tip our proverbial hat to the enormous contribution Ireland made so that the Catholic Faith would reach us now - when it is needed the most.

It is when we respond in a positive way to:

and strive to be a member of His Family:

A tape recorder can repeat the Creed over and over, and so can a well trained parrot. However, only a will placed at the Foot of the Cross can demonstrate that we truly believe what those words state.
As the saying goes: Talk is cheap and so are hollow words. It takes Faith (and that Faith, manifested in Works/Action), to prove what we claim in the Creed.

All we can say is that God has made it patently clear that, henceforth, that is the way it will be.
Actually, we should have done it from March 25th onward, but neglected to follow His prompting (which m de P had misunderstood as coming from self).
We could speculate as to "Why?" but it would be just that - personal speculation which is of no value in this case.

I have been invited by some neighbors (very charitable people; they help me with transportation for day-to-day errands) to attend a week night service at their Protestant church, where communion will be offered.
As far as I know, Catholics are not supposed to receive communion at Protestant churches. Since joining the Catholic Church in 1995, I have always stayed back when such a rite is offered at a Protestant service. And yet ... it would seem to be a neighborly thing to receive at their church, and to acknowledge shared faith in Christ. (I know that this is not the same as a Divine Liturgy, in which the elements become the Body and Blood of Christ; it would be symbolic.)
So ... should I (politely) refrain, or should I receive?
On a separate matter, I understand that Catholic regulations allow us to receive at Orthodox services - but that we are urged to respect the Orthodox discipline (which allows only Orthodox to receive). I have obeyed the rules when attending Orthodox services, and do not receive there.
It is a shame that these divisions exist, and that I even have to wonder about questions like this ... especially in times such as we are in now.

Of course, as you know, you partake of the communion in this case as a symbolic/memory of the Last Supper and not as the communion with the real Body and Blood.
Seeing it in another way - in the Orthodox Liturgy, those who cannot receive the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ for whatever reason, are given Blessed Bread - bread which was blessed during the liturgy before the consecration and set aside for this purpose.
Regarding the separate matter...
We do not recognize the separation and it would be fine if the Orthodox Priest knew that you were not a member of an Orthodox Patriarchate and allowed it. Otherwise, you would be presenting yourself before a priest (or for that matter, before anyone!) in the state of a lie to consume the Body of Christ. That does not work.

... the first mailed issue of the Divine Encouragement has been already mailed – to your falsified name and to your different e-mail address (which had not been known to us, until now).
Of course, we are puzzled by two issues:
(a) Why would you want to receive Encouragement from God through the hands of someone whom you
have categorized as "balmy"? (2)
(b) Why would you, as part of your cover, list your region as "Oceania" when the extension of your e-mail show ".au" which indicates Australia as the source? And why would you send your letter using a fake name and a new address from an address which has your real full name and your address that we have used for years?

The situation with fluoride (1) is more complex. By itself it is a weak inhibitor of one enzyme called protein phosphatase I. But with a little aluminum in the mix, it is a massive activator of a class of proteins, called G-proteins, that mediate all sorts of physiologic responses. This to my knowledge was not published, but it comes from Al Gilman's lab (he was a Nobel laureate for discovering G proteins), and I once worked with one of his former students.
The physiological impact of fluoride by itself is very minor, but if there is also aluminum in the environment, then aluminum fluoride is a very potent regulator of a lot of biological responses. This means it might be easy for researchers to disprove the fluoride effect if they do the testing in a community with no aluminum in the environment.
The nAcR (nicotinic acetylcholine receptor) in the second reference (2) are one type of G-protein, so the mechanism holds. These in turn stimulate Erk1/2.
I don't expect the EPA to be funding any studies in environments where they know there is aluminum.

According to a recent decision issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Gasper soon learned that a Montreal firm was making illicit copies of the movies and selling them to wholesalers. The primary client of the Montreal bootlegger was a New York-based company called Direct Distributors, Inc., run by a young Israeli named Ben Zion Suky.
Suky, now a real estate developer, isn't just another businessman involved in two litigious industries. He's also the right-hand man to a powerful Sephardic kabbalist rabbi with growing influence among Israel's political and business elite and in the American Jewish community.
So close is Suky to Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto that he owns property with the rabbi's wife. He is the rabbi's translator, gatekeeper and conduit to the outside world in America.
In early 2005, porn producer and actor Ashley Gasper realized that someone was bootlegging his films. Counterfeit copies of Jules Jordan's Flesh Hunter and Jules Jordan: Feeding Frenzy 2, among other titles, were showing up among the DVDs being returned to his distributor.
According to a recent decision issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Gasper soon learned that a Montreal firm was making illicit copies of the movies and selling them to wholesalers. The primary client of the Montreal bootlegger was a New York-based company called Direct Distributors, Inc., run by a young Israeli named Ben Zion Suky.
Suky, now a real estate developer, isn't just another businessman involved in two litigious industries. He's also the right-hand man to a powerful Sephardic kabbalist rabbi with growing influence among Israel's political and business elite and in the American Jewish community.
So close is Suky to Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto that he owns property with the rabbi's wife. He is the rabbi's translator, gatekeeper and conduit to the outside world in America.

More than 100 animal studies have linked fluoride to brain damage, and 24 additional studies in
humans have found an association between high levels of fluoride in drinking water and reduced
intelligence... Also observed was an inverse association between urine fluoride levels and IQ:
a 0.59-point decrease in IQ was observed for each 1 mg/L increase in urine fluoride. Thus, low
levels of fluoride in drinking water, even within the range of levels currently allowed,
negatively impact children's intelligence and dental health.
Chronic exposure to elevated levels of fluoride results in decreased memory and learning ability, but the mechanisms underlying these effects are not known. To address this issue, Liu et al. (2010) exposed rats to varying concentrations of fluoride in drinking water for 6 months. As expected, spatial learning and memory of the rats were significantly reduced in both the low- (5 mg/L) and high (50 mg/L) fluoride groups when compared to the control group (<0.5 mg/L), as determined by increased times of Morris Water Maze tests.

But its sheer scale became clear over the weekend and on Monday, as banks, retailers and others began alerting their customers to be on the lookout for fraudulent e-mails.
While e-mail addresses may not seem particularly vulnerable, experts say that if criminals can associate addresses with names and a business like a bank, they can devise highly customized attacks to trick people into disclosing more confidential information, a technique known as "spear phishing".

On March 29, 1807, German astronomer Heinrich Wilhelm Olbers spotted Vesta as a pinprick of light
in the sky. Two hundred and four years later, as NASA's Dawn spacecraft prepares to begin orbiting
this intriguing world, scientists now know how special this world is, even if there has been some
debate on how to classify it.
Vesta is most commonly called an asteroid because it lies in the orbiting rubble patch known as the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. But the vast majority of objects in the main belt are lightweights, 100-kilometers-wide (about 60-miles wide) or smaller, compared with Vesta, which is about 530 kilometers (330 miles) across on average. In fact, numerous bits of Vesta ejected by collisions with other objects have been identified in the main belt.
Officially, Vesta is a "minor planet" – a body that orbits the sun but is not a proper planet or comet. But there are more than 540,000 minor planets in our solar system, so the label doesn't give Vesta much distinction. There are three key points that we would like to highlight:
(a) To "honor the Son" means, without a shred of a doubt, sincerely trying to emulate Him and obey His commands. Of course wearing a simple crucifix for all to realize Who is your Lord and Master, honors Him; just as actively participating in a procession in memory of His Passion does; etc. but all of that is always secondary when compared with: emulating Him and obeying His commands.
No, we did not "invent" this. He said Go then and learn what this meaneth, I will have mercy and not sacrifice. For I am not come to call the just, but sinners. [Matthew 9:13]
That is, a "sacrifice" without "mercy" is of no value. Charity is the greatest of virtues and cannot be replaced with a mechanical "ritual sacrifice" to fulfill some institutional requirement.
(b) We have mentioned before that Eternal Life starts right here in Time the moment that a soul experiences a true conversion. The following reading says it best - "whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life..."
(c) The statement "for a time is coming" should have never been taken as an immediate event; a future event, yes; "tomorrow", no. However, when you consider that Jesus said that about 2,000 years ago - that is, ca. 9,500 years after what we call Noah's Flood - 2,000 years after He said it may be considered soon.
We are again reminded that the Holy Scriptures truly constitute a never ending fountain of Living Waters.

Given the "unforeseen" events of recent years - the uprisings in the Middle East - North Africa a la 9-11, the fall of the Berlin Wall, the demise of Soviet Union – peace may break out (or be imposed) at any time!
One wonders about the "natural disasters"; i.e. tsunami, earthquake, volcano etc. (Where are you Mr. Tesla? (1)).
In the 60's and 70's there was a margarine commercial that ended with "It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!"
It's sad to watch it all play out before us, as if we could turn it off and jump into bed and tomorrow would be a brighter day!
I didn't know how meaningful the section on Divine Encouragement would be during this time, but I now check there first. Especially helpful were today's words "To those deserters, those fearful ones, I gave My Power to heal, to raise to life." (2)
A humble former deserter and still fearful one who watches and prays.

We are happy to advise you that... we finally prepared a document which has been in the proverbial inkwell for too long.
The purpose of this brief document (1) is to explain why, to many students
of Pre-Historic, Ancient, Antique, Modern and Contemporary faiths, it appears that the
Catholic Faith is just a conglomerate of old myths and beliefs cobbled together by Rome. That is -
"A made up religion".
As we have shown before, appearances can be very deceiving. It is not that the
professionals are manufacturing the data that they use to prove their (incorrect) point. It is a
case of misinterpretation of the data gathered.
Through the Grace of God, we are able to show how the data used to prove that the Catholic Faith
is "A made up religion" is real but has been misinterpreted, yielding an absolutely false
conclusion.

Second - Make the above-cited information available to as many individuals as possible, and pray that it reaches those who need it the most: the clergy who have lost (or never had) faith.

José Luis de Jesús Miranda (1946-) is the Puerto Rican founder and leader of a Miami-based movement, Creciendo en Gracia, Growing In Grace International Ministry, Inc.(1) He claims to be "the Man Christ Jesus", and has followers in 35 countries (mostly in Puerto Rico and other parts of Latin America). Miranda, who moved through ministry posts among Pentecostals and Southern Baptists before starting his own church, has 287 radio programs and a 24-hour Spanish-language TV network. Starting in 2007, Miranda also has claimed to be the Antichrist. He – and his followers – wear "666" tattoos, and Miranda says that "people are no longer to follow the Jewish teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, but rather to follow the Apostle Paul's teachings" given through Miranda; "Antichrist" means "no longer following Jesus of Nazareth as he lived in the days of his flesh". Miranda vehemently denounces the Papacy and the abuses within the Catholic Church, and predicts that the Vatican and the Papacy will soon be destroyed.
As of 2006, Miranda's church claimed 300 congregations, more than 100,000 members, and a cable audience of 2 million. According to the Miami New Times, "More than 400 followers have set up businesses that funnel 20 to 80 percent of their profits into the ministry. Others donate cars, homes, and tens of thousands of dollars in cash and services. De Jesus bears little resemblance to the biblical Lamb of God. He wears fine suits and diamond-encrusted rings, drives a 7 Series BMW, and, until recently, lived in a 5000-square-foot Miramar home with Corinthian columns and vaulted ceilings. He also travels with a battalion of guards who wear dark suits and conspicuous earpieces. De Jesus says the cost of his security detail, which runs upward of $300,000 per year, is covered by follower Lazaro Seijo."
Miranda says of himself, "The Man Christ Jesus is Antichrist because he teaches the church to leave behind the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Any creed that holds the doctrine of Jesus of Nazareth as a foundation is in apostasy, under curse and in slavery; one which binds the church to an old covenant that no longer applies. The 666 is a number of man, it is the number which identifies Jesus Christ in his second coming. In the 666 there is wisdom, it is a number of prosperity". (2) He teaches that "there is no sin", but he says he is the Christ and calls down fire and brimstone on those who reject him: The last manifestation of God on Earth, the Man Christ Jesus, who is manifested in the only Apostle of Grace, DR. JOSE LUIS DE JESUS, publicly declares that all churches that base their doctrines on the apostles of the circumcision (the law) and the rudimentary doctrine of Jesus of Nazareth are APOSTATES and find themselves in spiritual ADULTERY. You can't play around with God. This is The Government of God on Earth. This is dangerous; it's not a game. The Man Christ Jesus declares that Growing in Grace is NOT just another ministry, but rather with His coming, it represents the great and feared day of the Lord."

As Sherlock Holmes would say - most things are simple in hindsight or after careful examination and deliberation.
"Whose side are you on?" is a phrase that we have all heard. "Are you a Conservative or a Liberal?" they ask. I would rather say "I'm on God's side".
There seem to be two conspiracies; the one on the left is fairly open and the one on the right is very secretive. It sort of gets down to "Am I gonna sear on the spit right in the fire or slowly boil in the pot as the temperature is turned up". Those choices presented seem to widen the chasm bringing humankind down to the abyss.
My faith and trust are rooted in God not allowing annihilation but allowing events to escalate until the "proper" moment. Wisdom and Grace require humility and patience and yes child-like reliance on Our Father to provide sustenance.
Today's (March 31st) reading for Lent is the parable of the persistent widow, Luke 18:1-8. As I understand it, a persevering pray-er gets God's attention despite obstacles, discouragement and opposition.
God's purpose in this is to answer the pleas of his chosen and see that justice is done. There is one big caveat; "But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?" [Luke 18:8]
Let us all be persistent, enduring to the end even if our faith is the size of a mustard seed [Matthew 17:19].

Are we ready to face a Japan style earthquake? Do we really know how possible a reality it is?
It may be a good idea to just check into it (2) while praying, of course, that this new FEMA exercise does not coincide with a real earthquake (as the one in Haiti coincided with a training exercise in the continental US, but very close to Haiti).

Realizing that Denial in Excelsis sadly prevents many from comprehending even the most mundane realities, the following link (1) is presented in the hope that at least some might awaken to smell the proverbial coffee.
Here are concrete examples of what I would call 'professional HAARPists' (2). Stanford University is not exactly 'Redneck Community College'. Nor do they share faculty...
These are very serious scientists, well respected in the academic world, whose central field of study, research, and (very concrete) development is: HAARP and Plasma Physics. Reading their biographies reveals that most of them have been employed in research and consulting positions by entities from the world of military/defense/NASA contractors.
We are not dealing with the purely 'academic' (i.e. theoretical/classroom discussion); this is the 'real deal'. For those who still standing there blinking, as this contradicts what the TV has told them to "think"... Military/Defense contractors demand results.
Defense contractors want things that work. Not mere theory or drawing board models. When Rockwell, Grumman, Northrop, etc. pay for R&D at a university Physics department, they expect real, tangible USEFUL results for their money, not a five page paper plagiarized by some frat boy wearing a beanie with a little propeller on his head!

A. Thank you for sharing this information with us. It resonates very well with a news report (3) a close cooperator of The M+G+R Foundation shared with us just a few days back. It follows:

A fire deep underground in an old mine on Minnesota's Iron Range continued to smoulder Saturday, but there were tentative indications it was being starved of the oxygen it needs to keep burning.
The fire within the Soudan underground mine threatens both an expensive physics research facility and a popular state park.
Laboratories operated by the University of Minnesota in the mine are worth an estimated $100 million, according to fire officials, $40 million more than was originally estimated.
On Friday, a day after the fire was detected, crews placed a cap atop the mine, in an attempt to starve the fire of oxygen. By Saturday morning, instruments showed that carbon dioxide levels were rising underground, which showed that oxygen levels were dropping.
The fire, which triggered an alarm at 9 p.m. Thursday, has puzzled fire officials who have not been able to determine how it started.
Their urgency to extinguish it was spurred by their determination to control it before it damages the university's facility 2,341 feet below the surface and two floors below the blaze.
The facility's equipment conducts experiments that seek to explain how the universe was formed. It operates the experiments underground to protect them from cosmic rays that shower the Earth.
No one was injured, and buildings above ground are safe.
During his professional career, m de P has done research at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory at Berkeley, California – a key laboratory of what was then the Atomic Energy Commission. He is thus very familiar with "beyond the cutting edge" laboratories, and can attest that no one would invest $100 million in a laboratory almost half a mile deep under a mountain, just to find out how the Universe was formed... any more than Stanford would host the Very Low Frequency Group to study the Aurora Borealis phenomena.

I bid you to take the following message very seriously, since it will be very beneficial for your soul – now and after your soul crosses the veil.
The Lord has given to every man his work. It is his business to do it, and the devil's business
to hinder him if he can. So sure as God has given you a work to do, satan will try to hinder
you.
He may present other things more promising. He may allure you by worldly prospects, he may
assault you with slander, torment you with false accusations, set you to work defending your
character, employ pious persons to lie about you, editors to assail you, and excellent men to
slander you.
You may have Pilate and Herod, Ananias and Caiaphas all combined against you, and Judas
standing by you ready to sell you for thirty pieces of silver; and you may wonder why all those
things come upon you.
Can you not see that the whole thing is brought about through the craft of the devil? To draw
you off from your work and hinder your obedience to God?
Keep about your work. Do not flinch because the lion roars; do not stop to stone the devil's
dogs; do not fool away your time chasing the devil's rabbits. Do your work!
Let liars lie, let sectarians quarrel, let corporations resolve, let editors publish, let the
devil do his worst; but see to it that nothing hinders you from fulfilling the work God has
given you.
He has not sent you to make money. He has not commanded you to get rich. He has never bidden
you to defend your character. He has not set you at work to contradict falsehood which satan and
his servants may start to peddle. If you do these things, you will do nothing else; you will be at
work for yourself and not for the Lord.
Keep about your work. Let your aim be as steady as a star. Let the world brawl and bubble. You
may be assaulted, wronged, insulted, slandered, wounded and rejected; you may be abused by foes,
forsaken by friends and despised and rejected of men, but see to it, with steadfast
determination, with unfaltering zeal, that you pursue the great purpose of your life and object of
your being, until at last you can say: "I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to
do".
Should you be called to cross the veil today, are you really in a position to be able to say: "I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to do"?
