Divine Encouragement and Inspiration (1)

Come unto Me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.  [Matthew 11:28]
Our Lord Jesus Christ is instructing you thus....
Yes, come for rest.  But stay for rest, too. 

Stop all feverish haste and be calm and untroubled. 

Come unto Me, not only for petitions to be granted but for nearness to Me.

Be sure of My Help, be conscious of My Presence, and wait until My Rest fills your soul.

Rest knows no fear.  Rest knows no want.  Rest is strong, sure.

The rest of soft glades and peacefully flowing rivers, of strong, immovable hills.

 Rest, and all you need to gain this rest is to come to Me.  So come.

Why is it so hard for those who call themselves Christians believe what Jesus, the One and Only Christ, says?

Pardon me, I forgot.... The seed is the word of God. And they by the way side are they that hear; then the devil cometh, and taketh the word out of their heart, lest believing they should be saved.  [Luke 8: 11-12]

No; I am not trying to be "cute" with the "Pardon me, I forgot" quip. I did forget when I wrote "Why is it so hard....".

I desire with such intensity that all be saved that I do frequently forget that such is not the way it is to be. Many, many will be lost in spite of Heaven redoubling its efforts since early 19th Century.

The benefit of this "forgetting it and then realizing it" is that it gives me a veiled glimpse of the sorrows experienced by Jesus and Mary as they see how most of humanity has rejected every effort they have made to soften for us the suffering that awaits all humanity - Elect and non Elect - as, what we call, "our civilized and advanced world" comes to a thundering end.

At the time of the Tower of Babel He caused all to abandon that area and spread to different parts of the globe. Now, the Babel that we have built will come crashing down with everyone in it. The 9-11 events previewed that for us.

That some readers may not believe us? That certainly is their privilege. Our duty is to make sure that all are warned so that those who are to be saved suffer less and those who are to be lost have no excuse before the Throne of God.

It IS really that simple!
